Netflix is currently in production on an unfiltered look at Tyson Fury, one of the biggest names in British sport.
Netflix has announced a new, feature-length documentary providing unprecedented access to legendary boxer Tyson Fury.
The upcoming film promises to pull back the curtain on Fury’s rise to fame and his unprecedented comeback.
Not only will the man himself be providing in-depth interviews, but director Lucy Wilcox also gained access to his inner circle of family, friends and colleagues to provide an eye-opening account of his story.
A synopsis for the upcoming doc promises to tell “the intimate and remarkable journey of an extraordinary fighter who, against all expectations, battled through impossible odds to achieve one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
“A disruptor in and out of the ring, the film explores his personal battles, controversies, complex relationships, and transformative moments that have made him a defining force in modern boxing.”

Featuring never-seen-before footage and intimate confessionals with the man himself, Fury is being described as the “definitive” documentary on one of the biggest names in boxing history.
The announcement comes shortly after the recent confirmation that Netflix is currently in production on a second season of the boxer’s reality series, At Home With the Furys.
Netflix are keeping further details about the film under wraps, and it currently does not have a release date.

All3Media’s Optomen are producing the doc, the same company behind the reality series as well as last year’s Becoming Madonna.
Director Wilcox is previously known for The Undercover Police Scandal: Love & Lies Exposed & Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism.
George Waldrum (The Twister: Caught in the Storm) is executive producing, and the film’s creative directors are Nick Hornby and Tina Flintoff.
Fury is scheduled to take on heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in April next year at London’s Wembley Stadium.

However, Fury has suffered back-to-back losses against Usyk and just last month admitted he’s “too old” to return to boxing.
When asked when he’d return to the ring by Sky Sports at the start of August, he said: “Never. Really! Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing’s a young man’s game.”
The sports star was filming a segment for At Home With the Furys at Doncaster Racecourse, watching his racehorse Big Gypsy King run in the Unison Campaigning For Public Services Handicap over seven furlongs.
At Home With the Furys is available to stream on Netflix. Fury does not yet have a release date.
