‘Reason’ King Charles will never ‘kick Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson out of Royal Lodge’
Is blood is thicker than water with royal brothers?
King Charles would “never” boot Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson out of Royal Lodge, a royal pundit has claimed.
Prince Andrew, 65, moved into the Grade II-listed mansion in Windsor Great Park in the early 2000s with his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Fergie, 65, moved in in 2008, 12 years after her divorce from Prince Andrew.
Despite Prince Andrew’s 75-year lease on the property, set to run until 2078, there have been numerous headlines in recent years suggesting King Charles wants his brother out. But as Andrew Lownie’s new royal biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, is serialised in a newspaper, one tabloid photographer has piped up to share positive stories about Fergie.

King Charles issued ‘stay of execution’ for Prince Andrew
In recent years, it has been reported that the king, 76, has sought to evict his younger sibling from their late grandmother, The Queen Mother’s former home, since he’s no longer a working royal.
Andrew’s lease is said to come with conditions regarding the upkeep of the 30-room property amid other claims concerning Prince Andrew’s reported financial pressures.
In late 2023, reports claimed King Charles had given Prince Andrew a “stay of execution”, said to have been reached after a deal was reportedly struck over carrying out repairs on the property.
However, tabloid sources did not seem confident that the pause on Prince Andrew’s departure would prove permanent.
“It’s all a bit cloud cuckoo-land, I’m afraid. No one, not least His Majesty, believes there is any realistic, long-term chance of the Duke of York being able to keep the roof at Royal Lodge over his head,” an insider claimed to MailOnline at the time.

Sarah Ferguson ‘never once turned her back on me’
Now, commemorating having worked with Fergie for nearly 40 years, a royal photographer has offered his take on the duchess.
Arthur Edwards professed how Fergie is “still one of his favourite royals”. He also detailed how he liaised with her father to help her deal with the press.
He is a kind man who was never going to kick his brother and Fergie out of their home.
“She was a joy to work with, a joy to photograph. Never once – however bad things were in her life – [did she turn] her back on me,” Arthur shared with The Sun.
He also recalled dancing with Fergie during a ski trip to Klosters in January 1992. Arthur gushed over bagging royal exclusives, too.
But Arthur also celebrated Fergie’s return to the royal fold in 2022. King Charles had invited him to take special pics of the royals at Sandringham at Christmas.

‘Reason’ King Charles won’t kick Andrew and Sarah out of Royal Lodge
“I spotted Fergie looking out the window. And when she saw me, she came rushing out to kiss and hug me. The king had invited her back into the fold,” Arthur explained.
He also added how she “will always be there for Andrew” amid all the scandals surrounding him. The correspondent also indicated that blood is thicker than water when it comes to the king, too.
Arthur asserted: “One thing I know about the king is that he is a kind man who was never going to kick his brother and Fergie out of their home, Royal Lodge at Windsor. He’s not that sort of person.”
