With the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) set to expire in October 2025, negotiations between the WNBA and the WNBA Players Association (WNBPA) are intensifying-and player voices are more outspoken than ever.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has made it clear she’s not just talking style on social media. In March, during an episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, she revealed what she’s hearing in CBA meetings: “If y’all don’t give us what we want, we sitting out.”

Reese even turned to the Unrivaled off-season 3-on-3 league, where she earned a $50,000 bonus she said she “needed.” The pay disparity within the league has raised further concerns, as some 2026 rookies are expected to earn more than veterans like Reese, highlighting the increasing frustration.
