According to recent reports, Meghan Markle’s former best friend, Jessica Mulroney, is “fearful” of speaking about their once close relationship. Jessica is said to have been offered a million-dollar deal for a tell-all memoir, which could explore her relationship breakdown with the Duchess of Sussex.
However, Jessica’s team told the Daily Mail that she would “never” discuss Meghan publicly and was “absolutely not” considering a book. A source close to Jessica, however, was reported by the outlet as saying that Meghan still has a lot of influence in the social circle she has in Canada, where she filmed TV show, Suits.
The source said: “Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada. I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows]. Meghan is still pretty powerful, and they have a lot of people in common.”

The source warned: “She is probably biding her time. She lost her career, but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more.”
Jessica Mulroney and Meghan were inseparable for several years after meeting in Toronto.
She helped guard the secret that Meghan was secretly dating Harry and she was the first friend the Duchess of Sussex called from the grounds of Kensington Palace when Harry proposed at Frogmore Cottage.
Her twin sons John and Brian, then seven, had the honour of carrying Meghan’s train of her dress down the aisle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, while her daughter Ivy, then two, was a bridesmaid.
Jessica, however, has since has been cut adrift by Meghan Markle after giving her views on Black Lives Matter. As reported in the Daily Mail, an online race row where she was accused of having “white privilege” by a blogger left her “toxic” on the Toronto social scene.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly severed ties with her former confidante following the incident. Jessica issued public apologies following the incident but was dropped by a number of television networks, including Good Morning America.
Years later, Jessica was also not invited to take part in the Duchess’s most recent project – With Love, Meghan, when others in her social circle were.
It has been a tumultuous few years for Ms Mulroney, and she is said to have split with her husband Ben Mulroney, the eldest son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, after 16 years.
