Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview stunned viewers. Four years on, many have still been reflecting on the impact the controversial tell-all had.
But one question still remains… are Harry and Meghan still in touch with Oprah?
It seems, despite the fallout from the controversial interview, Oprah is still on speaking terms with the couple.
In December 2024, the popular TV host revealed that Meghan had sent her a Tatcha skincare set.
Dubbing the gift one of her favourite things, Oprah confirmed that she is still in touch with the duchess. She said: “I love it because it was sent to me by a neighbour friend, Meghan Markle.

Since the bombshell interview, Oprah, 71, and Meghan, 43, have been spotted together multiple times, including at a local bookstore near their Montecito neighbourhood, where they both live.
Reports claim that they both visit one another’s homes. The US presenter is even said to be involved in the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie and Lilibet.
Before the birth of Prince Archie in 2019, Oprah said she would give the young royal “enough books to last a lifetime”. Thus, implying the closeness she shared with the duke and duchess ahead of the interview.
However, on occasion rumours have swirled stating that Meghan, Harry and Oprah are no longer close due to the CBS special.
Ultimately, no evidence of this has ever been confirmed.
Following on from the 2021 interview, Oprah has continued to uphold a positive narrative regarding the couple.

In the shocking interview, Meghan told Oprah that there were allegedly “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin might be when he was born”.
Harry also discussed “colonial undertones” of news headlines which were never talked about within the family. When asked by Oprah if they left the the royal fold because of ‘racism’ online and in the press, Harry replied: “It was a large part of it.”
The allegations about Archie’s skin sent the media into a frenzy at the time.
Royal fans were left divided and Buckingham Palace and Harry and Meghan all faced major criticism from all corners.
At the time, when questioned about Harry’s accusations, Prince William insisted that they were “very much not a racist family”.
The palace said in a statement that the accusations were “concerning” but that the Sussexes would “always be much-loved family members”.
King Charles was said to have chuckled when asked about Harry and Meghan’s revelations.
Many observers were left divided about Harry and Meghan’s allegations. Some slammed Harry and Meghan for casting a negative light on the royal family, whilst others fumed at The Firm’s alleged treatment of the couple.
To this day, the interview is still famed for sending shockwaves through global media.
