A report claims that he wants to spend more time with family and will leave when his contract is up this year.
The U.S. Sun understands that talk of Strahan quitting the show is premature.
But there are some strong candidates ready to take over if the New York Giants icon steps aside.
Malika Andrews
The ESPN host is out of contract this year and could slot straight into a role on partner channel ABC.
The 30-year-old has been with ESPN since 2018 and has developed into the face of their basketball coverage.
She already spends time on ABC in her current role when NBA games are shown on the channel.
