Francis Ngannou Calls Out Jake Paul for Fight in Video, ‘Interested in Beating His Ass’

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou called out Jake Paul for a potential fight.

“No, I’m not interested in fighting Jake Paul,” Ngannou said Tuesday. “I’m interested in beating his ass.”

Paul eventually responded to Ngannou directly, saying that he “would love to see” a clash between the two.

Paul previously brought up Ngannou as a future opponent in Dec. 2025, calling him “low-key soft” in an appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast.

Ngannou confirmed that Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions reached out to him for a potential fight, but turned it down.

“I’m like, ‘No bro, come on,'” Ngannou said in a Nov. 2025 interview with TMZ Sports. “I mean, don’t disrespect me like that.”

The 39-year-old also explained that his decision wasn’t based on money.

“If it was about the number, I would have tell you,” Ngannou said, via TMZ Sports. “I’m just not interested, it makes no sense for me. It’s not what I’m looking at right now.”

“The fight makes no sense,” he added. “That’s what I think, that’s my position.”

Paul fought Anthony Joshua instead, suffering a knockout loss in the sixth round.

As for Ngannou, he eventually joined Most Valuable Promotions and is set to make his MMA return for a heavyweight matchup with Philipe Lins. The upcoming clash is part of an event headlined by Ronda Rousey facing Gina Carano on May 16.

While Ngannou is currently preparing to face Lins, he seems to be open towards a future fight with Paul.
