‘You’re going to make me cry’, Michael Strahan fights back tears after emotional TV moment with upset anchor
Strahan spoke to a former colleague of his during the moment
MICHAEL Strahan couldn’t hold back his emotions when speaking about his daughter’s cancer diagnosis on live television.
The New York Giants legend and Fox NFL Sunday star recently appeared on ABC’s hit morning program The View.

After a rare brain tumor diagnosis in 2023, Michael Strahan’s daughter, Isabella, is now cancer-free.
She was 19 and a freshman at USC at the time of her diagnosis.
Isabella will have a documentary, Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight Against Cancer, which will show her tough journey.
Strahan appeared on The View last week and was reunited with former GMA3 co-host Sara Haines.
Haines had tears in her eyes as she brought up Isabella’s journey before asking a question to Strahan.
“Isabella’s first brain surgery left her having to relearn how to walk, talk, and even eat on her own. So she then went through a month of daily radiation, chemotherapy, the pain of a parent watching your child feel uncomfortable. And so few of us deal with this type of pain. How was that for you?”
Strahan noticed that Haines was trying to fight back her tears and he joked, “You’re going to make me cry.”
The NFL Hall of Famer pass rusher then shared that he’s yet to watch his daughter’s YouTube videos documenting her journey with cancer, revealing that he doesn’t even know if he’ll ever go through with watching it.
“It’s just too hard for me to watch, to relieve it,” Strahan said, before telling Haines, “And I know you know the girls.
“We did the show together, they’ve come spent time with us,” referring to his time co-hosting GMA 3 with Haines from 2018 to 2020.

Strahan continued, “It’s like, you’re hopeless, you’re helpless. You’re just a father who knows nothing more than to fix what you can for your kids
“I can’t fix this. All I can do is sit back and pray that we have the right doctors and that it’s something that can be treated so she can get to being as normal as possible and get back to her life.”
Strahan also shared a chilling incident when he was with Isabella in the hospital.
“Hey dad, I’ll do whatever they said,” the 53-year-old recounted her words to him.
“I just want to live. I don’t want to die.”
Haines called his daughter a “tigress” and applauded the upcoming documentary.
It will air on February 5 on ABC at 10:00 pm Eastern and can be streamed the next day on the streaming platforms Hulu and Disney+.
Strahan will be appearing on the Super Bowl edition of Fox NFL Sunday this weekend.
He will be in New Orleans for the big game showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
