The Philadelphia Eagles possibly going or not going to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX win with President Donald Trump has had people from both sides in an uproar.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported, the Eagles, winners of their second Super Bowl in seven years after beating the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month, would love to visit Trump.

Trump made it clear on Tuesday that the White House would soon send an invitation to the Super Bowl-winning team.

As rumors swirled online about the possibility of the Eagles declining the invite, former NFL star Adam “Pacman” Jones would drop his strong opinion on the matter.

“There’s a lot of people that have jobs who don’t like their CEO but go to work every day,” Jones told TMZ Sports.

“There’s a lot of people who don’t agree with how their preacher, or whoever they’re going to read (God’s) message from, with what he does. So, I think it’s kind of ludicrous that you win the championship and don’t want to go to the f—ing White House.”

The Philadelphia Eagles have won two Super Bowls, but this would be their first time at the White House.

The Eagles did not go after winning the Super Bowl title over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in 2018.

Eagles captain Lane Johnson said after the team’s victory that the decision to go would be up to a player vote.

“I’d be honored to go, regardless of who the president is, but we’ll see,” Johnson said via Sportico. “It’s ultimately a team decision. I’ll do what’s best for the team.”

The Philadelphia Eagles do not plan on skipping out on another trip to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory with President Donald Trump.

That wasn’t exciting news to many people in the fan base.

Some Philadelphia fans went from excited to mad about the team’s decision. In fact, many fans would rather the team visit former President Joe Biden than go to the White House with President Trump.

President Donald Trump has given a final verdict on whether the Super Bowl 59 champion Philadelphia Eagles will receive an invitation to the White House.

Over the past 48 hours, there have been conflicting reports about the Eagles already deciding on visiting the White House if they’re extended an invitation. A report from The U.S. Sun claimed that they decided “no” before Super Bowl 59, with subsequent reports stating that they’d be happy to attend.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Donald Trump confirmed that the Eagles will receive an invitation, even asking one of his staffers to get on it as soon as possible.

“They will be (invited). We haven’t yet, but we will be. I thought it was a great performance by them. Absolutely, they’ll be extended an invitation, would you do that right away? (to one of his is staffers). We’ll do it right away, we’re gonna do it some time today. They deserve to be down here, and we hope to see them.”

So there you have it.

The President of the United States usually invites championship-winning teams from the NCAA and top North American professional sports leagues to the White House. But Trump rescinded invitations for the 2017 NBA champion Golden State Warriors and Super Bowl 52 champion Philadelphia Eagles, after several players and staffers publicly revealed that they wouldn’t accept his offer.

The only Eagles players remaining from that Super Bowl 52 championship team are Brandon Graham, Jake Elliott, Rick Lovato and Lane Johnson. And of course, owner Jeffrey Lurie (a vocal Trump critic) and GM Howie Roseman are still running the show.

Trump spoke with Bret Baier of Fox News before Super Bowl 59 between the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. In the interview, Trump predicted that Patrick Mahomes would lead Kansas City to victory.

Of course, the Eagles had other ideas as they crushed KC on both sides of the ball in a 40-22 blowout victory. The Eagles clinched their second Super Bowl in eight seasons while denying Kansas City of the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.
