Ruth Langsford took a playful swipe at her ex Eamonn Holmes as she reflected on his parenting style on Loose Women on Monday.
The presenter, 64, joined Myleene Klass, 46, Linda Robson, 66, and Denise Welch, 66, on a discussion about childbirth and midwifery.
Reflecting on the birth of her son Jack, 22, Ruth had the audience giggling away as she hinted his parenting skills could have potentially seen some improvement.
She said: ‘Eamonn did what he could,’ prompting laughter from Myleene – and a few from the audience.
Ruth explained of her birth: ‘My midwife Maria, who sadly passed, we remained friends, she came to Jack’s birthday parties when he was young.
‘I just remember feeling that Maria and I birthed Jack… I mean Eamonn was there and he did what he could in that moment.’

It was then that fellow panellist Myleene let out a laugh. ‘No no, he did. He did,’ Ruth then said back.
Ruth added: ‘At that moment, I was relying on her. You know, when you have your eyes closed. I could hear her talking, going, ‘Keep on, another breath.’
‘I just remember focusing on her voice and her face that really got me through. I was a new mum, I didn’t know what I was doing and she had birthed so many babies.’
Ruth and Eamonn, 65, who co-hosted ITV’s This Morning for 15 years, broke up last May.
Following Ruth’s reflection, Myleene then broke down in tears as she revealed how suffering four miscarriages forged an unlikely friendship with her midwife.
The TV personality, who is a proud mum of three, couldn’t contain her emotion during her appearance on the panel for the ITV show as they spoke about giving birth.
Anchor Ruth brought up the moment when Holly Willoughby, 44, got emotional after reuniting with the woman who delivered her daughter Belle, 13, on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on Saturday evening.
Then Myleene opened up about the special relationship that she has formed with her midwife.

Myleene said: ‘That really gets me that clip. I love my midwife.
‘We’ve become really good friends. It’s probably because we had quite a different set up.
‘It’s not like I just met her on the day – Pippa Nightingale. She’s just remarkable.
‘We went through four years of miscarriages until I got my baby.’
The Hear’Say singer then started to well up and Ruth asked: ‘That is a very, very strong connection?’
Fighting back the tears, Myleene said: ‘I love her, yeah.’
Trying to control her emotion, she continued: ‘I don’t think you get those relationships all the time with your midwife. I got to know her for four years.

‘The joke was that it was her and my baby because I was in the clinic with her all the time.
‘To go through five pregnancies to get my baby.’
Ruth revealed that she remained friends with the midwife that helped welcome her and Eamonn Holmes’ son Jack.
She said: ‘He came to Jack’s birthday parties when he was young.
‘I remember when Holly said there, she said to her ‘we’re going to breathe this baby out’ – I remember feeling that Maria and I birthed Jack.
‘I mean Eamonn was there and he did what he could in that moment. I could hear her talking.’
‘He did. But at that moment I was relying on her when you have your eyes closed.’
Myleene replied: ‘That connection with another woman you never knew you’d end up being friends. I never knew that Pippa and I would end up being friends.
‘Now I’m at her birthday parties, now I know her family.
‘We’ve kept that connection because she means so much to me because in my most vulnerable and in the most important days of my life… she was there.’
Myleene is mum to daughters Ava, 17, and 13-year-old Hero.
The singer shares the two with her ex Graham Quinn, who she was with for 12 years.
Myleene also shares her son Apollo, five, with her fiancé Simon Motson.
