A Love Island star has quit the villa after a tearful breakdown and major fan backlash.

Series 12 of the popular reality show has been packed with drama since its launch last month.

Now, in a sh0ck move, Harrison Solomon, 22, – who has been in a love triangle with Toni Laites, 24, and Lauren Wood, 26 – has decided to leave the iconic ITV2 show.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a momentous few days for Harrison and ultimately he has decided to quit.

‘Everyone was so sh0cked and people were crying and hugging him. He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now.’

Harrison has been involved in a huge amount of drama since entering the villa as a bombshell on day eight.

Now, in a sh0ck move, Harrison Solomon, 22, has decided to quit the ITV2 show

He decided to pick Malisha Jordan, 24, and Toni for a date, but built a connection with American Toni.

But while getting to now Toni, Harrison showed an interest in Helena Ford, 29, and that infuriated Toni.

Things appeared to be going well until Casa Amor kicked off, when he decided to bring Lauren back to the main villa, and Toni coupled up with Cach Mercer, 24.

Since he’s been back, he’s been saying that he wants to get to know both girls, leaving them both in tears.

Earlier this week Love Island fans branded Harrison ‘disgusting’ when he crawled back to Toni after having s3x with Lauren during Tuesday night’s episode and admitted it wasn’t the first time.

And Love Island even faced backlash from Women’s Aid after the episode as Harrison’s antics sent fans into a fury as his love triangle with Lauren and Toni spiralled.

Women’s Aid have spoken out on his behaviour as they insisted the ITV reality show is continuing to reinforce misogyny and s3xism.

Communications Manager at Women’s Aid Jessye Werner said that while production companies have been making steps to call out toxic behaviours more must be done.

She told The Tab: ‘Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and s3xism our society still is.

‘Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and s3xism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls.

‘More must be done to educate contestants on s3xism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.’

After a rollercoaster relationship with Toni, Harrison returned from Casa Amor last week with Lauren.

However he and Toni have continued flirting and have had secret chats on the terrace, with Harrison often telling Toni one thing and Lauren another.

As the couples settled down to sl33p, one pair had other ideas as they were seen getting frisky under the covers.

It wasn’t long until they took things to the next level as Harrison was seen whispering across the beds as he asked Harry whether he had a condom.

After Harry passed the wrapper to his friend, Lauren was seen climbing on top of Harrison before the camera panned away to show their fellow islanders’ sh0cked faces.

The next day as Lauren chatted with Helena and Meg, she confessed it wasn’t the first time the couple had slept together as she admitted they had gone all the way an another night too.

Yet despite the intimacy, Harrison was quick to change his mind on who he had a greater connection with as he went crawling back to Toni after news of a sh0ck recoupling.

Yet it seems Toni may not know the full story, with fans speculating she doesn’t know he and Lauren appeared to have had s3x.

And while Harrison appeared smitten in Casa Amor, he has attempted to reignite his triangle in the competition by flirting with Toni in a scandalous move on the terrace earlier this week as the pair continued to flirt with each other.

However on Monday, despite being in tears over Harrison’s sneaky antics in the villa, Lauren appeared to forgive and forget when they retired to bed as the cameras showed the two getting very close under the covers.

In a nightime clip aired by the producers, the sheets could be seen moving over the top of the two islanders – suggesting they were taking their connection to the next level.

The next day, Harrison seemed to have confirmed their antics as he confessed to Harry that ‘the whistle was blown’ and he ‘scored a three pointer’ – a football reference which fans took to mean they got intimate throughout the night.
