Dancing On Ice fans are all saying the SAME thing as Sir Steve Redgrave is ELIMINATED after landing BOTTOM of the leaderboard for a second week

Dancing On Ice viewers all had the same thing to say as Sir Steve Redgrave became the latest star to leave the show after a second week at bottom of the leaderboard.

The Olympian, 62, and partner Vicky Ogden found themselves in the final two alongside Corrie’s Sam Ashton and Molly Lanaghan.

But due to the show scrapping the skate off it was all down to viewer votes and the rower was given his marching orders.

While he was disappointed by the result Sir Steve joked that he ‘wouldn’t miss falling down’ before gushing over pro Vicky and taking a final lap of the rink.

Taking to X fans branded the decision the ‘right one’ while claiming the Olympian ‘wasn’t getting any better’ as the weeks progressed.

They wrote: ‘Now the competition can begin! No one deserved to leave tonight other than Sir Steve, despite all the minor slips’: ‘Ok good, Steve gave it a great go but it was absolutely the right decision for him to go tonight. Thank you public’:  Let’s be honest it wasn’t even close and It was never in any doubt. Sorry Steve. A true Olympian you are. But #DancingOnIce was chasing one gold too far’.

Earlier in the show Chris Taylor took a tumble with his new partner after pro partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to quit the competition.

The Love Island star, 34, admitted he had ‘never been so stressed’ after teaming up with Robin Johnstone just 24-hours before his Pokemon themed performance.

Chris and Robin both lost their footing and slipped before clambering back onto their skates to finish their routine.

Despite the judges praising the reality star for managing to quickly adapt to a new partner, Chris was gutted and he received a score of 28.5 out of 40.

Earlier in the show Chris cried that he’d ‘learned so much’ from Vanessa when she revealed doctors had informed her she had torn a ligament in her leg and had no choice to withdraw.

Speaking backstage an emotional she told him: ‘We’ve been together since October and its been amazing’ before sharing a hug.

Vanessa had not previously shared much detail about her injury which she sustained ‘backstage’ last week.

Sharing the news in a video posted on Instagram she said: ‘I’m here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris.

Dancing On Ice week 3 leaderboard

Michaela Strachan and Mark Hanretty – 34.0

Mollie Pearce and Colin Grafton -31.0

Dan Edgar and Vanessa James – 35.0

Sam Aston and Molly Lanaghan – 29.0

Anton Ferdinand and Annette Dytrt -34.0

Charlie Brooks and Eric Radford – 31.0

Chris Taylor and Vanessa Bauer   – 28.5

Steve Redgrave and Vicky Ogden – 21.5

‘That’s really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they’ve never done before.

‘So it’s been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he’s got better week since October and also since the live shows started.’

She then went on to explain what had happened and how she was having to put her health first.

Vanessa continued: ‘I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday.

‘And I didn’t realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.

‘I shouldn’t be skating on an injury like that and so I’m taking all of the advice from the medical professionals here, I am in very good hands.’

Revealing she would be undergoing rehab for her injury, Vanessa added: ‘My pain threshold, I don’t trust it, I have been skating this whole week with a lot of pain but I just didn’t realise that it was such a significant injury so I didn’t voice my pain.

‘It just goes to show that you should listen to your body and try to tune into your body a lot.

‘I don’t want this injury that is already bad to get even worse and so the one sensible decision is to step away, do rehab, focus on my health – I guess mental health as well – because it’s really bad that I have to leave.

‘But I’m excited to get better and to get back to skating properly every single day.’

Vanessa added in the caption: ‘Thank you so much for your support this season and over the past 8 years!

‘There is so much really exciting stuff happening year and I’m looking forward to being properly healed for it! I’ll be there supporting you every step along the way’

Vanessa was flood by support by her co-stars and celebrity skating partner Chris who re-shared her video on his Instagram Stories and added: ‘While I’m here, let me tell you something about this woman.

‘She is hands down the most committed, determined and inspirational woman I have ever met. She gives everything 2000% and it’s been an honour to be taught by her.

‘Very, very sad we don’t get to finish this together, but you’ve got an annoying brother for life now.’

Meanwhile Ferne McCan penned: ‘Oh darling, devastating news for you. Health comes first. Wishing you a speedy recovery’.

Vanessa and Chris found themselves scoring an impressive 24 points last week during the live show as they skated to ‘I’m Just Ken’ from the hit Barbie movie.

Vanessa is not the only star to have to pull out of the 2025 series of the ITV show after celebrity Josh Jones was forced to quit due to injury as well.

It was revealed the Mancunian comedian, 32, had sustained an injury meaning he and his professional partner Tippy Packard could not carry on competing.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern during the Movie Week show, Josh revealed the accident happened during training.

He said: ‘We were skating and then I went over on my ankle and then kind of twisted it.’

Ever the funnyman, he then added: ‘I’m annoyed cos I’ve got a coldsore aswell, so I’ve got a lump on my lip and my ankle, which is not great!’

He went on to thank the viewers for keeping him in joking that they had great taste.

The news Josh would no longer be part of the show was shared by Dancing On Ice’s social media accounts, in a statement which read: ‘Josh Jones sustained an injury during rehearsals and has had to withdraw from Dancing On Ice.

‘Josh and Tippy’s partnership will be greatly missed. We will be helping to support Josh and wish him well in his recovery.’
