Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is stirring controversy once again, this time, he’s targeting ESPN and NFL analyst Mina Kimes.
Portnoy slammed Kimes online Friday morning, calling her a “hypocrite” over what he sees as her selective outrage surrounding s3xual misconduct allegations- specifically, the recent lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe.
Sharpe, 56, announced Thursday that he’s temporarily stepping away from ESPN following a $50 million rape lawsuit filed by a former girlfriend. The woman alleges that Sharpe initiated a relationship with her when she was just 19.
A second woman, Michele Evans, also came forward in an interview with the Daily Mail, sharing her own claims of s3xual assault involving the former NFL star. Despite denying the allegations, Sharpe stepped aside from his appearances on First Take while declaring his intent to return for the NFL preseason.

On Friday’s First Take, Mina Kimes appeared on the panel without Sharpe and addressed the ongoing NFL Draft coverage without mentioning the allegations. That silence didn’t sit well with Portnoy. He pointed to what he sees as a double standard, highlighting Kimes’ 2021 tweet about a report from Insider.com detailing s3xual misconduct accusations against him. At the time, Kimes described the report as “really upsetting” and praised it as “well reported,” saying too many people still don’t understand consent.

Portnoy fired back on social media Friday, saying, “Hypocrite is an understatement.” He claimed he sent Kimes what he described as “a mountain of evidence” debunking the Insider article and asked for a retraction. “Instead she blocked me,” he wrote. “Hypocrite is an understatement.”
The Insider report, published in 2021, accused Portnoy of engaging in degrading and painful s3xual encounters. He sued the publication for defamation in 2022, but a judge dismissed the case, citing a lack of evidence of malicious intent. Portnoy eventually dropped his appeal in early 2023.
Sharpe, meanwhile, defended himself in a public statement Thursday, saying, “The relationship in question was 100% consensual.” He added, “I will be devoting this time to my family, and responding and dealing with these false and disruptive allegations.” ESPN acknowledged Sharpe’s decision to step away, calling the situation “serious” in a statement shared with The Athletic.
Online, fans remain split. Some call out ESPN for what they see as inconsistent accountability, while others defend Kimes, saying she’s not obligated to comment on every situation. For now, both Sharpe and Portnoy remain off the air but very much at the center of public attention.
Barstool Owner Dave Portnoy Finally Reveals Identity Of His New 26-Year-Old Girlfriend After Months Of Speculation

Dave Portnoy, the outspoken face of Barstool Sports, has made it official. After months of speculation, the 48-year-old media mogul finally confirmed he’s in a relationship with 26-year-old Camryn D’Aloia.
The reveal came not with a flashy social media post or red-carpet debut, but during a candid moment on the “Drop a Pin” podcast, where Portnoy shared a harrowing story about a boat mishap last summer.
Portnoy, who usually keeps his private life quiet, casually named D’Aloia while recalling how his boat lost power in Nantucket Harbor. “Originally, it was myself and Cam, um, a girl I’m dating,” Portnoy said. “I was like, ‘You have to get off and tell somebody, I have no communication.’” According to him, D’Aloia dove off the boat, swam to shore, and called the harbor master. Just like that, their relationship was no longer a secret.
From Courtside To Confirmed
The public first noticed the couple nearly a year ago when they sat together at a Boston Celtics playoff game against the Miami Heat. The TV broadcast captured them behind the announcers, and the internet quickly connected the dots. At the time, Portnoy had just ended his three-year relationship with model Silvana Mojica, and he wasn’t ready for the spotlight.

“Very unfortunate set of circumstances, I’ll say that,” Portnoy said on the “BFFs” podcast last May. “I’m sensitive to the fact I’m five-and-a-half months out of a relationship, so being seen on a date or with a girl was not what I was trying to do.” He admitted he even turned down courtside seats to avoid attention but ended up seated right behind the broadcasters.

The Celtics game wasn’t just a casual outing. Despite Portnoy’s attempts to keep things low-key, it became a public turning point. At the time, he described the exposure as “the two worst tickets” because of how visible they were on screen. That incident, now in the rearview, marks the beginning of his now-confirmed relationship with D’Aloia.
Portnoy, who was previously married to Renee Portnoy from 2009 to 2017, has rarely opened up about his romantic life in recent years. Speaking about his breakup with Mojica, he acknowledged the emotional split. “We were dating for three years… I just didn’t think I could give Silvana what she deserves,” he said. Now, with Camryn D’Aloia officially in the picture, Portnoy seems ready to turn the page, on his own terms.
