Erin Andrews gave fans a rare glimpse into her teenage years this week, and the internet can’t get enough of it. The FOX NFL reporter, known for her polished sideline presence, took a moment to rewind the clock in a way that felt both nostalgic and personal.

Sharing a series of throwback photos from her high school days on her podcast’s social media account, Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Andrews declared it “picture day.” Among the images was a standout shot of her in a classic cheerleading outfit, instantly sparking waves of reaction online.

Fans React To A Rare Look Back

The photos captured different moments from her high school life- a yearbook portrait featuring her with bangs, a casual look in a pink top and white slacks, a posed photo in a dress, and that much-talked-about cheerleader uniform. The posts quickly drew praise from longtime fans who couldn’t help but comment on her youthful confidence and familiar smile.

“Gorgeous then, gorgeous now,” one user wrote.

While the photos drew plenty of admiration, they also came with a reminder of the tougher times Andrews faced growing up. In a 2020 interview with HBO, her father shared that classmates once teased her over her height, giving her the nickname “Manute,” after the towering NBA player Manute Bol. Andrews has opened up about that time in her life, saying, “I didn’t enjoy high school. All I wanted to do was talk sports.”

Instead of hanging out at movie theaters like many of her peers, Andrews spent her Friday nights watching the Chicago Bulls and studying the game. “I would’ve liked to have been named MJ, or Scottie Pippen or something like that,” she said during that HBO interview. “But I got Manute.”

That teenage girl who stood out for her height and sports obsession went on to build one of the most recognizable careers in sports broadcasting, from ESPN College GameDay to co-hosting Dancing With the Stars.

Those photos don’t just spark nostalgia, they hit like a time machine. Erin Andrews started in a cheer uniform and became a national sensation. Fans aren’t just remembering her past, they’re reliving it with her, one viral photo at a time.

Erin Andrews has made another trip around the sun. She certainly has not done it alone.

Andrews, who co-hosts a podcast with Charissa Thompson, also shares a birthday with her colleague.

The veteran NFL sideline reporter is celebrating her 47th birthday, while Thompson has turned 43.

To celebrate the special day for both women, Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson’s “Calm Down podcast” showed off two younger pictures of them on their Instagram story.

“A very Happy Birthday to our gals,” their podcast, “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa,” shared on their Instagram Story.

Erin Andrews’ contract with FOX Sports is over.

Andrews joined FOX Sports in 2012 and signed a three-year extension in 2022 that lasted until the conclusion of the recent NFL season.

After more than a decade as one of the most recognizable faces in sports broadcasting, Erin is without an employer. Andrews, a mainstay on the NFL sidelines and a seasoned reporter covering college football and MLB, now stands at a crossroads.

In September, Andrews revealed that her contract was up following Super Bowl LIX, as did Charissa Thompson in the aftermath of the NFL’s season finale, in which the Philadelphia Eagles recorded a historic victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Calm Down podcast, Thompson made it clear, “No, I am not leaving Fox. “I was never leaving Fox. I don’t know where this took on a life of its own.”

Maybe something is in the works behind the scenes since Fox Sports wished both women a happy birthday despite them technically no longer being employees.
