Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon was reportedly arrested this weekend.
Blackmon, a standout for the Cowboys during his time in college, is set to be inducted into the program’s Ring of Honor this year. But he has found himself in trouble with the law in the wake of the announcement.
A mugshot bearing the name Justin Carl Blackmon has been circulating on social media, with the former player understood to have been apprehended for public intoxication.
Blackmon played for Oklahoma State from 2009 to 2011, registering 253 receptions for 3,464 yards and 40 touchdowns. A two-time unanimous All-American, he won the Bletnikoff Award in 2010 and 2011.

He made the All-Rookie Team that season but played just four games the following year due to a pair of suspensions from the league. He has not played in the NFL since the 2013 season.

Kyren Lacy sadly passed away at the young age of 24.
The talented LSU wide receiver left behind a heartbroken family and community.
Recently, his mother, Kandace Washington, opened up about her son’s tragic death and shared her overwhelming grief.
“I am absolutely heartbroken by the passing of my son. There are no words to fully express the pain our family is feeling right now. I know that I haven’t said much but I wanted to let you all know that I am doing as good as I can right now,” Lacy’s mother said as per Daily Mail.
She also shared gratitude for the support they’ve received during this incredibly tough time.
“I want to thank each and every one of you who has reached out-through messages, calls, social media, and more. I see your texts, your words of love, and your offers of support. It means more than I can say,” Washington added.

Kyren’s death came after a complicated series of events. He was pursued by police after a family member reported that he had fired a firearm during an argument.
In the chaos, he crashed his car, and when officers approached, they found him with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
However, Kyren was regarded as one of the top prospects, having shone last season with nine touchdowns for the Tigers. His attorney, Matthew Ory, noted that Kyren didn’t think he was at fault for the incident that led to this tragedy.
According to him, Kyren was trying to continue with his life despite the surrounding turmoil. Tragically, a grand jury was set to review his case just days after his passing.

While Kyren Lacy’s family is already dealing with a hard time, his agent had a scathling comment pointed towards the NFL.
The former LSU Tigers wide receiver’s agent, Rocky Arceneaux of Alliance Sports, publicly criticized the NFL for their handling of Lacy’s situation.
In his statement, Arceneaux lambasted the league for revoking Lacy’s invitation to the NFL Combine without adequately considering the circumstances.
“To the NFL, shame on you for revoking Kyren’s Combine invitation without acknowledgement or consideration of the facts. I urge you to re-evaluate your processes and provide athletes with the necessary due process before alienating them from their peers and dreams they’ve worked so hard for. Shame on the investigating agency for being more concerned about public perception and pressure to charge someone – than actually investigating the facts,” he wrote.
He emphasized the need for the NFL to re-evaluate its processes and provide athletes with a fair chance. He argued that the rush to judgment and lack of due process ultimately harmed Lacy during a critical time in his career.
The young athlete had been facing serious legal challenges following a crash that resulted in the death of a 78-year-old man. The charges included negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run.
