Good Morning Britain viewers ‘switched off’ as they blasted the show’s ‘unacceptable and unnecessary’ report from Andi Peters report on Monday.
The 54 year old jetted off to Cape Town in South Africa to inform those watching at home about the programme’s latest competition.
Andi and the likes of Kate Lawler, Josie Gibson and Jeff Brazier regularly appear on GMB, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women to share competitions with viewers.
The stars present from a number of incredible places, including Jeff in Thailand last month.
And Andi has jetted off to South Africa’s southwest coast to spill all.
But some rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their frustrations over him hosting the segment in a different country.

The presenter appeared from Cape Town to tell viewers about the competition – which can see them win £100,000
One wrote on the social media platform: ‘@gmb now your silly competition that the vast majority of people lose is now being pushed from South Africa – what’s your accumulated carbon footprint?”
A second added: ‘@GMB @ITV @itvnews Any particular reason why Andy Peters has to travel 6009miles to Cape Town to flog us a competition??
‘His carbon footprint must be insane and totally unacceptable and unnecessary. You never see him on anything other than Good Morning Britain!’
A third chimed in: ‘So Andy has now been sent to f***ing South Africa?!
‘Why do they feel it’s what the viewers want to see? Money being s*****d on his travel costs just so he can flog a competition, not only that but his carbon footprint must be colossal which makes it a joke when GMB claim to care about climate change.’
‘Susanna bangs on about the cost of living. Laura bangs on about the environment. Then they send Andi, to Table Mountain in South Africa.
‘@ITV you should be ashamed,’ a fourth tweeted.
A fifth added: ‘So Andi and a small crew from @GMB flew to South Africa to tell us about a competition and phone someone in the UK… Laura please don’t lecture us about climate change or global warming ever again… blooming cheek you lot have got.’
Many viewers rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinion on the matter
Andi regularly appears in different parts of the world when on the ITV morning and daytime shows.
Last month Lorraine thrown into thrown into chaos after a woman asked Andi for a selfie in the middle of a live broadcast.
The presenter was on the streets of Glasgow, informing viewers of the show’s latest competition.
Andi told her: ‘Yes, it is me, Andi Peters. I would take a picture, but we are live on the telly, madam. Do carry on!
‘You can have a selfie but later, I’m running out of time!
‘Sorry I’ve got to…’
But then seconds later posed for a selfie.
Andi then asked the woman: ‘Do you like watching Lorraine?’
‘Well, no, because I work! I can’t watch Lorraine!,’ she replied.
Andi told her to not say that because Lorraine was also live and the woman shouted: ‘I love Lorraine!’
In the same episode Andi fought back the tears after watching a grieving mum recount the death of son.
Naomi Rees-Issitt’s son Jamie passed away on New Year’s Day in 2022 after having a cardiac arrest.
As the camera panned in on him in Scotland, about to tell viewers about the competition, Andi got very emotional and said: ‘Slightly moved, I can’t lie.’
