Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski is reportedly considering a return to the NFL.
Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan’s Cecil Lammey had social media buzzing when he reported Gronkowski is “considering a return to the NFL.”
Lammey even noted that Gronkowski “loves Denver & QB Bo Nix” while pointing out his connection with head coach Sean Payton, who worked at Fox Sports with the legendary tight end before returning to coaching.
He further added that the Denver Broncos are “In the mix” to sign him.
All of this information was quite surprising, especially to Rob Gronkowski.
“Crazy, bro. They must know something about me that I don’t. I wish I still had those powers, because that would be cool if I did. But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it’s time to relax a little. No football,” Gronk stated to Jordan Schultz.

The four-time Super Bowl champion notably played for the New England Patriots for most of his career.
He retired from the league in 2019 before returning to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following year alongside his former teammate, Tom Brady.
Since his second retirement in 2022, Gronkowski has been an analyst for Fox Sports.

Rob Gronkowski already made one NFL comeback in 2020 and won another Super Bowl, but it appears he does not plan to do it again.
The future Hall-of-Fame tight end announced his retirement from the Patriots following the team’s win in Super Bowl LIII, only to play for another two seasons after joining Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He is a sure fire lock for the Hall of Fame if he never suits up again.
Gronkowski finished his career with 621 receptions, 9,286 receiving yards, and 92 touchdowns in 143 regular season games.

FOX analyst Rob Gronkowski was about to tee off on New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft before a commercial break completely cut him off.
In a move that surprised many, the Patriots fired head coach Jerod Mayo immediately after their Week 18 home win against the Buffalo Bills. Speaking on the matter, Rob Gronkowski expressed great confusion at the “NFL on FOX” desk.
Gronkowski said the firing of Mayo was “unfair”, stating that he didn’t get the opportunity to grow as a coach. The former Patriots star turned to FOX Sports colleague Jimmy Johnson and pointed out how he went 1-15 in his first year before leading the Dallas Cowboys to two Super Bowls.
Just when it looked like Rob Gronkowski was prepared to light into Kraft, however, Michael Strahan cut his colleague off and said they were about to head into a commercial break:
Is it just us, or was the “timing” of that commercial break a little too convenient? Hmm…

Regardless, it’s not a good look on Kraft that he’ll soon be on his third head coach in as many years. It was known for a while that Mayo would eventually succeed Bill Belichick as the HC, so giving up on the former after just one year is a curious decision.
