“I just wish my mum and dad could both be proud of me, instead of fighting because of my show.” Princess Andre Breaks Silence as ITV Greenlights Second Series of Hit Reality Show—Killer Ratings Fuel Family Feud Between Peter Andre & Katie Price

Princess Andre has teased a second series of her hit ITV2 show The Princess Diaries after the first run proved to be a ratings smash.

The 18-year-old influencer invited cameras to follow her as she navigated life in the spotlight and explored her next steps as a young adult, with the four-part series airing in August.

It became ITV2’s biggest launch outside of Love Island, pulling in 744,000 viewers and racking up more than 3.9 million streams on ITVX.

Following the finale, Princess held a Q&A on Instagram Stories on Monday, where one fan asked if a second season was on the horizon. She playfully responded: ‘The question is, would anyone want to see a part 2 of it?’

Princess filmed the series just before her milestone 18th birthday. The daughter of Katie Price, 47, and Peter Andre, 52, she spoke openly in the programme about her parents’ difficult split.

Katie and Peter married in 2005 after meeting on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but divorced just four years later, with Princess reflecting on how the separation shaped her childhood.

A second series is already being tipped, though it could spark further drama.

Katie has claimed she was excluded from appearing in the show by Princess’ management team and Peter, despite it being centred on their daughter.

A TV insider told the Daily Mail: ‘The Princess Diaries has been a huge success for ITV2, bosses are really keen to sign Princess for a second series.

‘It was number one on ITVX for an entire week and has been the biggest launch on the channel outside of Love Island, with viewers already keen to see what happens next in the teen’s life.

‘The drama surrounding the show between Katie and Peter has definitely helped to boost its popularity, but Princess also has her own fanbase, which continues to grow.

‘Princess loved filming the series too, there’s nothing she wants more than to continue making the show. A second season is likely to have more episodes, but Katie’s ban will remain. The show is The Princess Diaries, and her mother simply won’t be involved.’

While Katie was absent, Peter, his wife Dr Emily MacDonagh, 36, and Princess’s brother Junior, 20, all played major roles.

The Mysterious Girl singer appeared in the final episode, giving an emotional speech at Princess’s 18th birthday party as he told her how proud he was of the young woman she had become.

Katie, however, did not attend, later claiming Peter refused to be in the same room as her. She has also voiced frustration that her children are managed by their father’s team.

The row escalated when Peter released a lengthy Instagram statement earlier this month, breaking his silence on their private family matters.

He said: ‘For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.

‘The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood.

‘In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.

‘In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.’

He added that there were ‘many more lies and baseless accusations’ he intended to address in the months ahead.

Katie, for her part, brushed off the statement during an episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, insisting she was at peace.

‘It’s been full on [this week], but I want people to know: I own my s***,’ she said. ‘It’s very well-documented, and I’ve always said how I’ve learned from my past.

‘I’d always have a reaction to things, then it would spiral out of control… and then spiralling out of control would make more headlines.

‘I’m so at peace with everything. At. Peace. I don’t need to rise to people, and what I say on my podcast is generally my opinion, what I feel, and I don’t lie about anything.

‘Nothing… Everything’s in my lawyer’s hands now. I’m not being bullied or gaslighted anymore from anybody.’

The Princess Diaries could soon return to screens – though, like the first series, the spotlight is set to remain firmly on Princess herself.
