This Morning’s Cat Deeley has opened up about a secret health concern that she suffered from after contracting Covid.
During Monday’s installment of the ITV show Cat, 48, and co-host Ben Shephard, 50, were speaking to guest Grace Cain about hair loss she had suffered after taking weight loss jab Wegovy.
Grace started taking it at the beginning of March in 2024 and managed to lose 90 pounds in 10 months.
Although she was over the moon with her new found confidence because of her slim figure, she was growing increasingly conscious of her her ‘rapid hair loss’.
Cat said: ‘When you saw rapid hair loss… I got Covid and I could feel it when… Nobody noticed it on me, but when I held my hair in a ponytail.

Cat told Grace: ‘Nobody noticed it on me, but when I held my hair in a ponytail’ as she showed her live on our screens
‘I could feel the difference.
‘Is that what you felt?’
Grace told the presenters: ‘I would have a bath and it would come out in massive clumps every time I would touch.
‘For me who put pride in my hair, because I was in a bigger body before, it made me feel confident.
‘It’s startling to lose that part of you.’
Luckily Grace admitted that her hair has started to grow back.
Cat caught Covid back in 2021 and suffered with long Covid after contracting the virus.
According to the NHS website, Covid symptoms include a high temperate, a continuous cough, loss of taste/smell, sort throat, headache and an aching body.

Cat recently showed off her luscious locks in a stunning dramatic transformation video that was posted on Instagram
Despite that, she’s been able to get her locks looking back to what they used to before the pandemic.
Previously speaking to The Telegraph, Cat previously said: ‘I’ve become very good at taking my vitamins!
‘I use Viviscal to improve my hair’s condition, I take vitamin D daily and I take a multivitamin, too.’
Back in 2023, Cat also revealed that she suffered with long Covid and went to infrared saunas and a cryochamber to help.
Speaking to Women’s Health about her ill health prior to the breakfast television gig, Cat said: ‘After I had Covid, I was left with aches and pains in my hands, and doctors couldn’t help so I started looking for other things.
‘The symptoms that I had were a bit like MS, achy joints, no strength in my hands, and a weird thing that happened when I looked down – there’s a nerve at the back of your neck – and it almost felt fizzy, electric.
‘I saw that they often treat MS patients with oxygen tanks as it helps with rejuvenation.
‘I found a place locally that has one, and they also have a red light sauna and a cryochamber, and I was like “in for a penny in for a pound”!’
It comes after Cat showed off her luscious blonde locks in a recent dramatic transformation video.
The presenter looked incredible as she shared a makeover video to her Instagram which promoted the latest episode of her US television series The Joe Schmo Show.
Cat wowed in a low cut black dress and styled her hair into Hollywood waves.
She completed the look with a red lip.
Cat captioned the post: ‘On the count of 3, yell out “shaboo-ya-hee”, then come sit next to me, we’ll turn on the telly tv, maybe sip some coffee, and tune-in to episode three of The Show. Every Tuesday at 9pm on.’
