Katie Price has revealed to her fans she has suffered ‘sad news’ following the recent birth of her Sphynx cat Doris’ litter of kittens.
The former glamour model, 46, told how she has sadly lost one of the kittens, as the premature arrivals struggled to latch onto their mother to feed.
Katie has been condemned by animal charities for owning pets after she suffered a series of deaths, but has now insisted she is caring for the kittens day and night.
In a new video, Katie, who was sporting a cream jumper and wore her dark locks loose, shared her devastating news on social media.
In the Snapchat clip, Katie told her followers she had lost one of the kittens, saying: ‘An update on the kittens, one unfortunately died.
‘That’s the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it.

The former glamour model, 46, told how she has sadly lost one of the kittens, as the premature arrivals struggled to latch onto their mother to feed
‘Luckily I’m trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum, two are just about doing it but I’m having to put them on it, because they are so premature.
‘As you can see how knackered I am, every two and a half hours through the day and through the night I’m feeding them for the mum.
‘She’s a good mum, and then she keeps bringing one to the bed with her, she did that earlier, I think that was a sign to come and look in the box as one had died.’
Katie added: ‘But that’s good because she trusts us and loves us so that’s good.
‘So I’ve got two latching on to her now, so that’s the update.’
Doris gave birth last Friday and Katie has been working around the clock to help her cat look after the kittens, even a missing a holiday to the Isle of Wight.
Katie welcomed Doris and two other bald cats into her home last October, despite calls from animal charities for her to be banned from owning pets.
Katie hit back at those who criticised her for owning animals after charity PETA offered her £5,000 to stop keeping pets.

Katie, who also recently introduced a cocker spaniel named Rookie to her family, has always been an avid animal lover and has owned several pets over the years.
However, her treatment of animals has come under scrutiny after five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon all died while in her care – many of them in traffic accidents near her home in Sussex.
Katie attributes these tragedies to ‘bad luck,’ with most occurring while she was away. She has since secured the garden of her new home to ensure her pets’ safety.
Responding to people who say she shouldn’t own animals, Katie told The Sun: ‘When people say I shouldn’t have animals, it’s circumstances that were out of my hands.
‘It’s no lack of me not looking after them or anything like that. I love animals, I love nurturing.’
After reports that Katie had given away her puppy Tank due to ‘losing interest,’ PETA penned an open letter to her in February 2024.
They offered her £5,000 if she signs a contract to not acquire another animal.
‘While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned,’ PETA Vice President Elisa Allen wrote, in the letter shared by The Sun.
‘Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution.’

PETA added: ‘things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision’.
In response to the open letter, a representative of Katie’s told MailOnline: ‘Katie has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.’
‘If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch.’
‘Isn’t it a waste of charity money or have they got funds available to give out to celebrities, which should be going towards animals?’
Leading animal charity PETA has previously slammed Katie after her seventh pet died in her care – saying she has ‘blood on her hands’.
The leading animal charity has made increasing calls for Katie to not have any more pets in her care after her protection dog Blade died in June last year.
It came seven months after another one of Katie’s dogs, Sharon, was killed on the same road.
A petition for Katie to be banned from owning animals garnered 30,000 signatures.
Yet, at the time, she could not escape backlash from charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

They called for the need for an injunction to be put in place, stopping Katie from owning pets completely.
They had offered Katie £5,000 to stop buying pets, which she had not responded to.
PETA UK founder Ingrid Newkirk told The Sun: ‘If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.
‘If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price’s custody. No one could call it ‘care’.’
The new additions to the family came just a few months after she revealed she had to put down her last ‘designer’ cat, Frog, after being diagnosed with a neurological disease.
She had bought Frog in February for £1,200, naming him in a sweet tribute to her son, Harvey, who loves frogs, but came under fire months later when she shared a video of the pet wrestling with a dog.
Katie had eight pets die in just six years – including four dogs and a horse all getting hit by cars.
She has also given away pets, including an out-of-control Alsatian called Bear for attacking other animals.
At the beginning of 2024, Katie gave away a puppy called Tank because he ‘no longer looked cute on Instagram’.
She also currently has a pet pug, named Captain, and avidly looks after horses.
