NFL insider Josina Anderson had something to state about Aaron Rodgers.
This week, the free agent quarterback ripped new Jets coach Aaron Glenn during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
It was the first time Rodgers had spoken since the Jets decided in February to release the quarterback. The team released the four-time MVP, and the Jets absorbed a $49 million dead money charge by cutting Rodgers. However, by designating him a post-June 1 cut, they are able to spread that over two years instead of one.
Rodgers described his meeting with New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn as brief after he flew from across the country to meet with the front office.
He said the coach left abruptly early in their conversation, returned with general manager Darren Mougey, and told Rodgers “20 seconds in” that the club would head in a new direction at quarterback.
“I’ve had a lot of great conversations with a lot of teams. Not one of those was the Jets,” Rodgers said. “That wasn’t a great conversation.”
Once Aaron Rodgers wrapped up with McAfee, longtime NFL reporter Josina Anderson had something to get off her chest.

Josina implied that Rodgers, as a member of the team, was the source of the “leaks” in the Jets building.
“With all due respect, Aaron Rodgers perhaps should check on how Joe Douglas feels after signing many of his friends and Robert Saleh, who was the subject of several hit pieces–both of whom lost their jobs–before carrying on about this. Lost-their-jobs. Yes, for multiple reasons (true), but let’s zoom out and have macro & self-awareness in this too…” Anderson tweeted following Rodgers’ appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“The question of the day really pertains to leak(s). A lot of y’all have been fooled thinking hate lingered, where hate didn’t…I’ll leave it at that. The people who know what I’m talking about at FP [Florham Park, NJ, where the Jets’ facility is] know what I’m talking about…current and past.”

Free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers has still not decided on his next move for his life and career.
There have been many rumors that Rodgers will be heading to the Steelers, but nothing has happened.
NFL insider Josina Anderson revealed that the Rodgers saga has created a “weird vibe” amongst the Steelers organization.
“The vibe? I would say it feels a little weird here,” Anderson posted on X.
“The running joke around here right now is ‘who’s going to be our quarterback?’ Now, I wouldn’t say there’s any panic though; but the current QB depth says what it says.”

The Schutt Air XP Pro Q11 LTD helmet, worn by free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, is among the models that the NFL has banned ahead of the 2025 season.According to a report from Matt Moret of The Athletic, the NFL has banned seven helmet models while announcing that 10 other models are “Guardian Cap optional.” Along with the Schutt Air XP Pro, the NFL has also banned the Riddell Revolution Speed Classic, Riddell Speed, Riddell Speed Icon, Riddell Foundation, Xenith Epic+ and Xenith Epic.
The 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers has developed a reputation for being a prima donna when he doesn’t get things his way, so we can only wish the Pittsburgh Steelers luck in advanced contract negotiations with the four-time MVP.
For the sake of the Steelers and fans of Rodgers, let’s hope he doesn’t threaten to retire like Antonio Brown did in 2019 when the league banned his helmet model. Brown never actually retired, but it was one of several headaches that caused the Oakland Raiders to cut the mercurial wideout before he ever played a snap for them.
The New York Jets released Aaron Rodgers and his longtime teammate, Davante Adams, last month after a disappointing season. Steelers owner Art Rooney II and head coach Mike Tomlin have expressed optimism that they’ll land Rodgers, but there’s time no timeline on when the QB will make a decision.

The Steelers haven’t had a losing season under Mike Tomlin since he took over as head coach in 2007. It’s awfully remarkable that he got them to the playoffs in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 with lackluster quarterback play, too.
With D.K. Metcalf, George Pickens and a top-10 defense already in place, adding Rodgers would make the Steelers a legitimate threat to win the Super Bowl.
