Bruno Tonioli’s seat on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel could be under threat – as his filming clashes could open the door for YouTube sensation KSI to join full-time.
The Italian dancer, 69, is set to miss BGT filming again this year due to a schedule clash with his US job on Dancing with the Stars.
According to reports, this has left show boss Simon Cowell eyeing up social media giant KSI, who’s stepped in before and boasts a colossal online following of 75 million.
A source told The Sun: ‘There is no doubt that KSI’s social media clout is exactly what the BGT panel needs and Simon loves the edge he brings.
‘TV isn’t getting the viewing figures it did a decade ago, so to have someone who can tell their followers to sit down and watch the box can have a real impact.’

They added: ‘Because of the scheduling issues, insiders are certain that Simon will offer KSI a more long term position in the show.’
KSI, 31, was back on the Britains Got Talent final on Saturday night after previously stepping in for Bruno during auditions earlier this year – and his fans have already been calling for him to land a permanent role.
Simon is said to be seriously considering making it official, with insiders convinced an offer is on the cards.
Bruno however, who replaced David Walliams on the panel in 2023, isn’t fazed.
He quipped last week: ‘We’re both young, attractive, multi-talented stars known the world over.
‘Joking aside, I think KSI is fantastic — a real charming man full of energy. We attended the BRITs together too, which was a fabulous evening.’
Representatives for Britain’s Got Talent declined to comment but an insider added: ‘We had a similar situation last year. Bruno was filming Dancing With The Stars in October but was still available to film BGT auditions in Blackpool. In this year’s series, KSI stepped in as a guest judge for both Bruno and Simon on different audition dates.’
It seemed that KSI was also the guest of honour at the BGT wrap party, as a source told MailOnline that he was ‘mobbed’ by fans as soon as he arrived.

Also in the show, fill-in judge KSI and Tom Grennan performed their new single while the public voted for their favourite act
The insider said: ‘The party was upstairs in the Apollo, there was a frenzy around KSI and everyone wanted to be next to him and talk to him at the after party.
‘He has a huge presence, and really is the big star of the show . The kids in the audience go wild for him.’
Saturday night saw Harry Moulding crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent of the 2025 series.
The magician, 24, from Blackpool emerged victorious in this year’s final after he beat out the other ten finalists to win the most votes from the pubic.
Harry jumped up and down and screamed after hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly called his name.
‘I can’t believe what is going on,’ he said.
‘Thank you everyone so much, I genuinely feel like everyone has been behind me.
‘This has been the most incredible journey.’
He faced off against dance troupe The Blackouts in the final two, with the group remaining good spirits after his win, saying it was ‘well deserved’.
Elsewhere during the show, fill-in judge KSI and Tom Grennan performed while the public voted for their favourite act.
The YouTube sensation, 31, bagged the position on the popular ITV Saturday night TV show earlier this year and his inclusion has certainly been a hit with fans.
But while KSI has been much-loved by younger generations for years, his decision to move into mainstream television has now also earned him the respect of an older age group.
He told The Sun: ‘I have always had mature women sliding into my DMs but I’d say BGT has definitely sky-rocketed the DMs, and them recognising me more.’
