Sarah Lancashire joined her husband Peter Salmon for a rare public outing as they led the stars on day two of the Wimbledon Championships 2025 on Tuesday.
The actress, 60, was the picture of elegance in a floaty white summer dress as she braved the blistering heatwave during the outing at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Met Office said temperatures could hit 36C (97F) after yesterday saw the hottest start to Wimbledon on record and a peak of 33.1C (91.6F) in London.
The Happy Valley star teamed her dress with a white blazer draped over her shoulders, while her television producer partner, 69, looked dapper in a smart blue suit.
The couple were joined at the sporting event by the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and Rebel Wilson, who turned heads in a pink lace midi dress before striking a pose with wife Ramona Agruma, who was chic in a white striped co-ord.
Rebel was later spotted taking her seat in the Royal Box alongside fellow Aussie actress Cate Blanchett and her mother June, kicking off the afternoon of tennis with the Ladies’ Singles first round match between Barbora Krejcikova and Alexandra Eala.
Some tennis fans slept in the early heat after sunrise as they queued for day two of Wimbledon, with British number one Jack Draper and reigning women’s champion Barbora Krejcikova set to start their campaigns at the All England Club today.>

Elsewhere on the courts, British tennis star Katie Boulter sealed a huge victory against Paula Badosa on Monday afternoon in the women’s singles, but was back on the grounds on Tuesday to watch her fiancé, Alex De Minaur, in his opening match of the Championships.
Boulter took a prime spot in the stands around Court 18 to watch her beau take on Roberto Carballes Baena.
But amid the sweltering Wimbledon heat, with temperatures climbing upwards of 31 degrees on Tuesday morning, the 28-year-old star sheltered from the sun under a purple and green Wimbledon-branded umbrella.
De Minaur got off to a solid start against the World No 72, Baena, claiming the first set 6-2.

The Aussie star was clinical with his service, booming the ball down on his Spanish opponent to win 80 per cent of his first service chances but lacked precision when attempting to break his opponent, converting two out of five possible break point chances.
Boulter and De Minaur have been dating since 2020, with their romance first blossoming during an unexpected meeting at a coffee shop in London at 6am in the morning.
Elsewhere, American tennis star Jessica Pegula was on the wrong end of another major upset after being dumped out in the first round of Wimbledon by Italy’s Elisabetta Cocciaretto.

Fans were making the most of the blazing sunshine on Tuesday
Pegula, who was also sent packing at the French Open by world No 361 Lois Boisson last month, was beaten 6-2, 6-3 by the unseeded 24-year-old.
The daughter of billionaire NFL owner Terry Pegula is enduring a disappointing 2025 so far after making it to her first Grand Slam final at the US Open last year, having also slipped out of the Australian Open in the third round.
The surprise loss to Cocciaretto, who had never beaten a player ranked inside the top five before today, marks the nadir after her SW19 hopes went up in smoke in the very first round.
It also goes down as her worst Grand Slam showing for five years, since she was eliminated in the first round at the French Open in 2020.
