THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME: Nick Ferrari, 66, marries longtime love Clare SURROUNDED by celeb pals in idyllic venue in the south of France

Nick Ferrari has married his longtime love Clare Patterson in an idyllic venue in the south of France on Saturday.

The LBC radio host, 66, tied the knot surrounded by his celebs pals including Christopher Biggins, Myleene Klass and Piers Morgan.

After a decade of dating his wife Clare, a radio producer 15 years his junior, Nick finally said ‘I do’ in front of his nearest and dearests.

Their special day, which was officiated by actor Christopher, also featured Myleene playing Humming Class from the Italian opera Madame Butterfly on the harp and a reading by beloved friend Piers.

They officially wed at the Old Marylebone Town Hall last week surrounded by close family prior to their French nuptials.

Clare looked pretty in a thin-strap white gown, while dapper Nick wore a navy suit and pale pink shirt.

Christopher went all out in a bright pink suit to officiate the ceremony, while Piers wore a blue blazer and cream trousers.

Myleene looked incredibly glamorous in a bright lime green gown as she struck a pose next to her friends.

Nick revealed he got engaged to Clare in January after popping the question over Christmas at their favourite restaurant in France.

The radio host shared the happy announcement on This Morning with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

Cat announced that they had ‘breaking news’, before revealing that Nick was ‘officially off the market.

The LBC presenter then chimed in: ‘Well I know a nation’s heart is broken but I have to impart the news that I am engaged to be wed to Clare.’

Panelist Vanessa Feltz greeted the news by joking that she was ‘devastated’.

Nick said: ‘I am engaged to be wed to Clare. We had the most idyllic Christmas and we’d been to Lapland and had a brilliant time.

‘Then we were down in the South of France and after ten years together I said she can make an honest man out of me. I did it at our favourite restaurant in the South of France.’

Nick said he jokingly got down on one knee while they were in a DIY store but then asked her to pass him a screwdriver instead.

Nick had two sons with his ex wife Sandra Phylis Conolly, but is now divorced.

He has previously declined to share many details about his new wife in interviews, but revealed in 2017 that she was a colleague.

Known for his robust interviewing style, Nick hosts his own weekday breakfast show on LBC.

He has also made appearances on The Pledge on Sky News, Richard & Judy, London Tonight and BBC London News.

The broadcaster made headlines in 2023 after calling for the bosses of water companies to be jailed if their company pumps sewage into rivers.

To rapturous applause from the audience, Nick said the scandal would be ‘solved overnight’ if the Government properly punished the bosses for the sins of their water firms by changing the law to make them personally responsible.

He revealed one of his children had caught Weil’s disease, adding: ‘Fortunately he lived. It is a killer. And they [water companies] are playing with people’s lives by putting sewage in the water. Put them behind bars, it will be solved overnight’.

He added: ‘This is the way we solve it and it’s very simple. When the government wants to, they can bring in a law overnight, like the Public Order Act, which saw six people with some banners and a load of rubber bands arrested and thrown in jail.

‘This is the law that needs to come in. Any chief executive who continually allows his or her company to put raw sewage into the water – let’s get this law enacted – will go to jail for five years.’

Educated at Eltham College, a private school in London, Nick began his journalism career at his father Lino’s news agency, Ferrari Press Agency.

He later worked on newspapers including The Sun and The Mirror before embarking on his broadcasting career.
