AJ Brown got his car back less than 12 hours after it was stolen and had a message for the thief, who is already in police custody.

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver took to X today to announce that his vehicle had been stolen in the wee hours of Monday morning and made a deal with the perp to return it with the promise that he would not press charges.

That tweet has since been deleted, but Brown vowed that if it was not returned, he would find the car by the end of the day, and that there would be consequences.

“To whoever you are, which I’m going to find soon, I’ll make a deal with you, bro. Just bring the whip back. I won’t press charges,” he also said in a video.

Well, it only took a few hours before the car turned up.

Brown again took to social media to announce that it had been retrieved.

“I told you just turn the car back in, and now you gotta deal with the consequences, man,” he said in another clip.

Brown and the cops worked together to find his car, leading to the arrest of 25-year-old Luis Segarra. According to ABC News, the police didn’t have much trouble locating the vehicle as he parked it right next to a group of Camden County officers who were there to observe a local construction site.

The lawmen had already been put on the alert and immediately approached the vehicle.

The driver took off on foot, but the chase was short, and he was taken into custody shortly after.

“The suspect that was inside the vehicle, he fled. It was a short foot pursuit, but they were able to take custody of him on the 1500 block of Mt. Ephriam without incident,” Camden County Police Dep. Chief Janell Simpson said.

Simpson suggested that Segarra was not aware that the car belonged to AJ Brown.

Fortunately, it was not damaged and has since been returned to the Eagles star.

Social Media Is Convinced That A.J. Brown Is About To Get Traded To The New England Patriots After Posting Strange Video Online

AJ Brown might’ve just broken the internet, or at least the parts of it that involve Eagles and Patriots fans. The Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver sent both fanbases into a frenzy after posting a playful but wildly misleading Instagram video that looked, at first glance, like a bombshell trade announcement.

“The wait is finally over,” Brown teased in the clip, before pulling out a New England Patriots No. 11 jersey from off-frame. Brown’s video sent social media into overdrive due to the Patriots’ wide receiver struggles and the Eagles’ high-profile roster. Fans immediately began speculating whether Brown was hinting at a real move.

Instead, he revealed that the jersey belonged to Julian Edelman, and was autographed, along with a signed Tom Brady jersey.

Brown’s Patriots Love Stirs The Pot

Brown made it clear he’s not jumping ship just yet, but the video fueled enough chatter to last a full news cycle.

“Man, I just be playing, man. I play too much, man. I like to have fun,” Brown said, laughing, as he addressed the confusion. “Know Eagles fans just weren’t being hot,” he added, mimicking a fan’s reaction to seeing the Patriots jersey.

The All-Pro wideout has long admired Edelman’s game and hasn’t been shy about it. Edelman, for his part, has leaned right into the speculation. After Brown shared the jerseys, the former Patriots wide receiver dropped a comment that only added fuel to the fire. “All day bro. Feel free to rock 11 when you sign #FoxboroForever,” Edelman wrote.

The moment highlighted AJ Brown’s unique personality, a mix of elite talent, showmanship, and off-field flair. But even in jest, a clip like that carries weight in today’s NFL, where player movement is always looming and social media acts as a second press conference.

Despite the viral misdirection, there’s no indication Brown is unhappy in Philadelphia. He’s fresh off a Super Bowl appearance and remains under contract through the 2029 season. Still, when one of the league’s most dynamic players flirts, even playfully, with a different uniform, people notice.

Patriots fans might dream of a future where Brown takes snaps in Foxborough. For now, though, he’s still very much an Eagle, even if his heart holds a soft spot for a couple of Super Bowl legends from New England.
