Good Morning Britain viewers criticised Richard Madeley for his comments during a war debate on Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show.
The 69-year-old returned to the studio alongside his co-star Susanna Reid, 54, to present the latest episode of the morning news programme.
One subject that discussed was U.S president Donald Trump ‘considering’ a U.S strike on Iran with Mirror Editor Kevin Maguire.
Richard said: ‘We can’t let Iran develop a nuclear bomb. Nobody in their right minds would want to see that.’
Kevin replied: ‘No but you can stop Iran developing a nuclear bomb with treaties and agreements…’
Kevin later said: ‘It wasn’t Iran, it was Trump who brought the deal, it was because it was signed by a predecessor you know how he behaves, he’s a loose cannon, he shoots everywhere.

‘You can stop Iran developing a nuclear weapon without killing people.’
‘Well look, Hitler and Stalin had a treaty, and Hitler broke it and invaded Russia,’ Richard replied.
Those watching at home weren’t impressed with Richard’s comments and took to X to share their thoughts.
‘Richard gets really excited when he talks about wars and weapons etc, it’s pretty gross to see, he did it when the war in Ukraine started.’
‘Richard Madely on International affairs is as smart as me climbing into my washing machine.’
‘Madeley! Sigh!’
‘A centipede would have more insight than Richard Madeley ffs!!’
Later on in the episode, Good Morning Britain was left in chaos as alarms blared through the ITV studios – with Richard and Susanna left ‘unnerved’ as a warning was plastered across our screens.
The presenters were left lost for words when an alarm went off while catching up with GMB’s entertainment editor Richard Arnold, 55.
As they spoke about the new movie Jurassic World Rebirth, set to be released next month, a buzzer sound went off and two handlers with baby dinosaurs appeared next to Richard in the studio.
And ‘WARNING! DINOSAURS LET LOOSE’ was written at the bottom of viewers’ screens.

Richard Madeley , 69, and Susanna Reid , 54, returned to our screens for another instalment of the ITV breakfast show – and were shocked to see a dinosaur with them
Richard said: ‘Those alarms aren’t very settling… slightly unnerving.’
Moments later a dinosaur walked into the studio, leaving Richard very impressed as he said: ‘That is magnificent!
‘I mean I don’t know about you Susanna, I’ve worked with worse!’
Richard Madeley added: ‘I’ll tell you what, we look at these things as almost like artificially creative monsters.
‘They were real! They were exactly like that.’
Richard Arnold confessed: ‘It takes you back to the wonderment watching that first film way back when!
Susanna replied: ‘It wasn’t a moment of wonderment when we first saw a Velociraptor, it was a moment of terror!
‘They move…’
The dinosaur made a huge bite into the air and Susanna added: ‘Yeah… exactly.’
And just last week Dianne Buswell revealed the truth about a social media blunder which left fans certain she was engaged to Joe Sugg while on the show.
The dancer, 36, and her YouTuber partner, 33, struck up a romance when they were paired together during the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid asked the dancer about the perceived hint she dropped after travelling Down Under.
The 54-year-old questioned: ‘I want to ask you because there was a lot of speculation about the fact you might have got engaged over the past couple of days!’
To which Dianne responded: ‘I was in Australia and it was quite hot over there and I’d just flown in and my fingers get a little bit swollen on the plane.
‘I had a couple of rings on my right hand, which I also do right now, but because my fingers were swollen I had to take them off and put them onto my right hand – I didn’t even know this was the (the left hand) one that where the engagement ring goes!
‘I was taking pictures with my family and I put them online so everyone thought I was engaged. I’m not engaged.’
