Former President Obama raps a verse from Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at a rally for Harris in the battleground state of Michigan.
Rapper Eminem appeared at a campaign event in Detroit on October 22, expressing his support for Vice President Kamala Harris and arguing that she would defend free speech. Eminem then introduced former President Barack Obama on stage.
“I’ve done a lot of rallies, so I’m not usually nervous, but I don’t know how to describe how I feel coming up right after Eminem,” Obama said to cheers from the crowd.
The former president then rapped a few lines from Eminem’s song Lose Yourself from the 2002 film 8 Mile. The crowd cheered even louder

While campaigning for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, Obama also danced to Lose Yourself.
Eminem, a native of Detroit, has been critical of Republican politicians. In 2017, the artist attacked then-president Donald Trump at a music festival in the UK. Last year, Eminem asked then-Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to stop using his music at campaign events. Ramaswamy is a longtime fan of the rapper.

Obama is actively campaigning for Harris in battleground states, attracting black male voters and proving that Republican candidate Trump is not qualified to lead the country, with voting just two weeks away.
According to data from the Election Research Lab at the University of Florida, as of October 23, nearly 25 million Americans have cast early ballots in person or by mail. Several states, including the battleground states of North Carolina and Georgia, recorded record numbers of early voters on the first day of voting last week.
Trump and Harris are likely to focus mainly on the battleground states of Pennsylvania and Georgia for the remainder of the campaign. According to the latest Reuters/Ipsos survey, Ms. Harris is leading Mr. Trump with 46% and 43% support nationwide, respectively.
