Strictly’s Amber Davies asks ‘am I being dramatic’ as Blackpool preparations uncovered

Amber Davies was left asking if she was ‘being dramatic’ as she was seen preparing for his visit to Blackpool for Strictly Come Dancing’s annual special.

The West End star and her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin were confirmed to be through to week nine of the BBC One dance contest last weekend, which will take place in the seaside town’s famous Tower Ballroom.

The most recent live show on Saturday night (November 15) saw Amber and her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin climb to the top of the leaderboard as they wowed the judges with a “perfect” paso doble.

It was then during Sunday’s (November 16) results show that it was confirmed that Amber and Nikita had made it through to Blackpool, with six couples now set to perform after La Voix was ruled out due to injury.

As the new week got underway, the remaining stars heading back into rehearsals for their next big performances and Amber was among those prepping for her trip up north.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a video of her sporting a woolly bobble hat and fluffy ear muffs and wrote to her loyal followers: “Am I being too dramatic or is this absolutely necessary for Blackpool.”

She then shared a follow-up snap in which she, her mum and her grandmother could be seen posing around a suitcase. “Next stop… Blackpool!” Amber captioned the post.

She went on: “Mum & Nana coming all the way down for moral support [face holding back tears and pink heart emojis].” Amber then quipped in reference to her case: “Packed lightly [liar emoji].”

It comes after Amber took to social media following the confirmation that she had made it through to another week and alongside a string of pictures of her and Nikita, she wrote: “I am honestly in utter shock. WE ARE GOING TO BLACKPOOL!!!!! @nikita__kuzmin.

“I have not enough words to say how thankful I am to those who voted for us!!! Ever since I was little a Paso would always be the strictly dance that would have me mesmerised. The fact I got to do that with Nikita (and real blooming fire) will be a core memory!!!!!”

The West End star then admitted: “I didn’t book any dog care for the weekend just incase I didn’t make it to Blackpool – so time to call our dog walker & PACK A CASE!!”

Amber rounded off her post by adding: “Again if you voted for us thank you so much, we are going to keep pushing as hard as we can, and I hope we make you Proud. Blackpool here we come.”

After being flooded with messages, Amber later returned to the post and wrote in the comments section: “THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE LOVE,” alongside a string of crying face emojis and red love hearts.
