Meghan Markle is reportedly furious over a recent move by Prince William and Princess Kate, as sources suggest the Prince and Princess of Wales exerted influence on King Charles before he issued his bombshell statement last week. The monarch issued a letter informing officials that Harry and Meghan are to be treated as private citizens upon their return to the UK, a move that reportedly took the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by surprise.
It has been reported that Harry and Meghan have been taken aback by the frosty reception they have received from the Royal Family in the last few weeks since moving back. Now, Meghan is reportedly “furious” over William and Kate’s influence on the King’s decision to issue the statement about her and Harry’s status. It comes after sources say Harry and Meghan were only told about the statement before it was revealed to the public.
A source told Closer that the latest statement from the King was “very much pushed by William and Kate”, something that Meghan is aware of.
“The Waleses have felt totally blindsided by the way Harry and Meghan announced their arrival back to the UK, and, with everything that’s happened over the last few years, they just don’t trust them,” the source said. “There is nothing new in the statement, but William felt it was necessary to remind them where the lines are drawn before anything happens.”
Sources claim Meghan is “furious” and has “no intention of allowing the Palace to push her aside or treat her as though she is no longer important, especially by William and Kate”.
The relationship between Harry and William has been practically non-existent for years as the pair have not seen each other for some time.

Prince William reportedly has no plans to see Harry, but some insiders suggest that he might not have a choice. A source told royal expert Duncan Larcombe that William is “extremely concerned” about what Harry’s return means for the Royal Family, and may feel he has “no choice” but to come face-to-face with his younger brother.
Larcombe was told by sources that William feels he has been “pushed into a corner” and now finds himself in a position where he has to invite his brother to speak about what’s next.
This comes after previous reports suggested that William was flat-out refusing to reunite with Harry upon the latter’s return to the UK. In fact, some sources have said that William even threatened to boycott some events over the possibility of Harry and Meghan being invited.
