GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry was joined by Piers Morgan who issued a bombshell demand to Charles Earl Spencer following the release of his book Swan Song to commemorate his late sister, Diana, Princess of Wales, who tragically d!ed in a car crash almost 30 years ago.
Piers has threatened legal action over claims Spencer made about him in the memoir, which he described as “demonstrable lies”. One of the claims the Uncensored host challenged concerns photographs of Diana taken with a hidden camera while she was exercising in a leotard. Spencer wrote that Morgan “and his Sunday Mirror counterpart” had published the photographs, describing the episode as an “intolerable invasion of her privacy”.
Piers strongly disputed the account, pointing out that the photographs were published by the Daily Mirror on November 7, 1993—nearly two years before he joined the newspaper. Earl Spencer has since issued an apology to the presenter for the error in his book.

Speaking on her show on Tuesday evening, Michelle questioned: “You are a smart guy, you would have strategized this. How far are you willing to take this, if they do say no?”
Piers replied: “As far as it takes. He’s admitted it’s wrong. It’s still in the book. Your call.”
In a bombshell five-word demand to Spencer, he added, “withdraw the book from sale”.
The host questioned Spencer’s motive for writing the book, adding: “He says he’s got a duty to history. He’s also previously said he would never monetise his sister’s de@th.

Piers then launched a scathing attack as he compared Spencer to his nephew, Prince Harry following the 2021 release of his memoir Spare.
“He’s just talking with a forked tongue, isn’t he?” Piers retorted. “He’s doing exactly what he said he wouldn’t do. He actually said on camera, ‘What kind of brother or sister will cash in on his sibling’s de@th?’ And here he is, cashing in on Diana’s de@th. Doing exactly what he’s always accused the media of doing.”
In a devastating blow to the Duke of Sussex, Piers added: “Just like Prince Harry. Just a reprehensible hypocrite.”
The presenter went on to suggest that Spencer targeted King Charles.
He continued: “He’s battling cancer and has rebuilt his life around all the chaos of the nineties.” Piers went on to suggest that Spencer’s move was “disgusting”.
On Tuesday, Spencer issued a public apology to Morgan over the claims.
In a statement to Newsweek, he said that it had been his “assumption” that Morgan had been responsible for the photos because he had been the editor of the Daily Mirror. But he accepted Morgan’s statement that he had not joined the paper until almost two years after they were published.
“As an historian, accuracy is important to Earl Spencer. He therefore wishes to clarify that his assumption was incorrect. Earl Spencer apologises to Mr. Morgan for this error,” he said.
