BREAKING NEWS: Prince Harry ‘cut a lonely and sad figure’ on 42nd birthday after royal family snub
The royal family didn’t wish Prince Harry a happy birthday, and Danica De Giorgio believes the Duke of Sussex was left feeling ‘lonely’ and ‘sad’ as a result.

News24 host Danica De Giorgio believes Prince Harry appeared “lonely” and “sad” after the royal family didn’t publicly recognize his birthday on Tuesday.
“We’ve got to start with Prince Harry because I’ve got to say he cut a very lonely and sad figure on his 42nd birthday,” the presenter opened.
“The birthday was not celebrated by the Palace. There was not even a mention by the Palace. And so, in what, in my view, was a very well-choreographed Instagram post, Meghan couldn’t resist once again desperately telling the world that she loves her husband,” De Giorgio contended. In her Instagram post, Meghan wrote that her husband is “simply the best.”
Shortly after, the camera switched to the duchess’ birthday message, featuring a compilation of Harry with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, set to Simply the Best playing in the background.
“So, Andrew, he was snubbed by the family on his 42nd birthday. What do you make of that?” the journalist questioned her guest, fellow broadcaster Andrew Eborn.

Andrew said, “Well, it is interesting because the last time the royal family mentioned anything was actually for his 40th birthday back in 2024, when they posted on X, as it is now.
“Basically, the official account of the King said [he was] ‘Wishing the Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday.’

“Also, the Prince and Princess of Wales, there was silence from them today. But, they also posted back on his 40th birthday: ‘Wishing a happy 40th birthday to the Duke of Sussex.'”
“Now, what tends to happen, just to be fair to everybody, is they don’t normally give public birthday acknowledgements except for major milestones, so those decades, the 40th and so on and so forth,” the commentator clarified.
He added, “But it is an extraordinary time for Harry and Meghan. They’ve just come back to the UK.”
Later in the program, Andrew noted that Harry had recently made clear his desire to mend ties with King Charles.
He said, “The best birthday present for Harry was to come back to the UK and be closer to his family.
“But, the frosty relationship with his brother [Prince William], there’s no sign of that thawing at the moment.”
