Princess Catherine paid tribute to her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales, this evening as she stepped out at a London film premiere. The 44-year-old made a special appearance at the Digger premiere, alongside Prince William, stunning royal fans in a gorgeous purple gown.
Aside from her stunning dress of choice for the star-studded evening, Catherine was reportedly wearing earrings that once belonged to the late royal. Catherine paid tribute to Diana by wearing pearl drop earrings that once belonged to her.
The future Queen paired the statement earrings with the Queen Mother’s amethyst soutoir necklace, which features a big love heart.
The couple’s latest public appearance comes on the same day that Prince William’s uncle, Earl Spencer, released his bombshell memoir, Swan Song.
The memoir, which saw an extract published last week by the Daily Mail, offers insight into his late sister’s life, including her unhappy marriage to the now-King Charles.
The beloved royal died just weeks after her 36th birthday in 1997, with her death taking place due to injuries she sustained from a car crash in Paris.
At the time of her death, William was aged just 15, whilst his younger brother, Prince Harry, was just 12.

Mark Dolan revealed on the latest edition of the Daily Expresso podcast that William was reportedly “furious” over the release of his uncle’s book.
Mr Dolan said that, whilst “furious” William still remains “firmly on his father’s side”.
The book detailed major allegations about King Charles, including that he was reportedly “elated” during a conversation with his former brother-in-law following Diana’s death. He also reportedly told the Earl that Diana would be “forgotten soon enough”.
