Coronation Street fans said they had ‘chills’ as they shared the same delighted reaction to watching the start of Megan Walsh’s downfall – but it’s not good news quite yet.

Those who follow the ITV soap have been keen for the character to be exposed for the groomer that she is, with them aware she has been carrying out a secret relationship with schoolboy Will Driscoll, with the pair recently sleeping together as he turned 16.

Megan has since discovered she’s pregnant, telling Will, who isn’t her only victim, as viewers were also introduced to another teen, Will, who admitted to sleeping with Megan, the baby is his.

But their secret has come spilling out, with the shocking unravelling beginning during Monday’s (March 16) visit to the cobbles after Sam Blakeman was hospitalised as he collapsed after taking medication to aid those who have been diagnosed with ADHD.

As Corrie fans are aware, Megan has been threatening and bullying Sam after he pushed to expose Megan for the groomer that she is, only for her to catch him out and turn the tables, threatening to claim he had been spying on her via the hidden camera he set up in his step-mum Leanne Battersby’s flat where Megan is now a lodger.

Sam has been using the medication to help him concentrate on the exams, while dealing with Megan’s threats. But when he was rushed to hospital, his family couldn’t understand that his school work was the reason for his fragile state. While his dad, Nick Tilsley, pushed for answers and wanted to go to the school, Leanne spotted Sam wasn’t quite telling the truth and tried to get him to open up.

Sam refused to tell her anything more, and while she didn’t push it, she was later intrigued to see Megan sitting at Sam’s bedside, as she threatened him into silence once more. But Leanne knew something wasn’t right and in Tuesday’s (March 17) episode of Corrie, fans saw Leanne eventually get the truth out of Sam, only for them to be joined by Will’s step-mother, Eva, who didn’t want to believe what the teen was saying.

Later, Leanne, Eva and Toyah Battersby gathered in the Rovers Return and when Megan joined her, they grilled her on her relationship with Will and what Sam had told them. Megan cried and claimed Will had a silly crush and that Sam had gotten the wrong end of the stick, but once she had gone, Eva confirmed she “didn’t believe a flamin’ word” of what the teacher told them.

And the scenes saw Corrie fans flocked to social media.@carlasmissus said: “literal CHILLS watching this scene, can’t wait to see them take megan down.” @deirdrescig commented: “Genuinely fantastic scene from tonight’s corrie. no special effects, no music, just 4 women deep in their respective emotions having a bit of a showdown in the rovers back room. cinema!”

@abbie_mcauslan posted: “Absolutely SAT for the Leanne, Toyah and Eva sisterhood to be at the helm of Megan’s downfall. #Corrie.” @RyanSoapKing25 shared: “Delicious scenes between Eva Toyah and Leanne today. It feels like 2013 and the Stella and Carl era all over again. #Corrie.” @Izzy1728047 added: “The scene between Leanne, Toyah, Eva and Megan was brilliant!! That was gold #Corrie.”

However, there isn’t good news just yet. According to next week’s Corrie spoilers, Ben Driscoll calls the family together to discuss Megan’s baby and the fact that she refuses to take a DNA test. When his son, Will, who has been groomed by his running coach, leaps to Megan’s defence, grandmother Maggie loses her rag.

Later, Ben persuades a reluctant Will to attend a counselling session in the hope that he might open up about his relationship with Megan. But when Kit reveals that forensics on Will’s and Megan’s phones suggest nothing illegal, Ben and Eva despair.
