Bolton helicopter crash LIVE: Horror as helicopter ‘falls from the sky’ in UK town

Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen the aircraft “spinning out” and “falling from the sky”.

A helicopter has reportedly crash landed in a field in Bolton on November 13. Emergency services were rushed to a field off Beaumont Road in Bolton, Greater Manchester, before 2pm today.

The incident unfolded as the helicopter is understood to have experienced issues over Greater Manchester before the pilot performed an emergency landing in a rural area in the Lostock area of the town.

Fire service statement

A spoksperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has revealed they deployed four appliances to the scene after the call came through.

They addeds: “At 1.40pm on Thursday (November 13) four fire engines from Bolton Central, Eccles and Atherton fire stations plus the technical rescue unit from Leigh fire station were called to reports of a helicopter making an emergency landing in a field off Kilworth Drive, Lostock.

“Firefighters made the aircraft and surrounding area safe alongside partners and were in attendance for around 45 minutes.”

The first photos of the aircraft have surfaced after its crash landing just two hours ago.

The gyrocopter can be seen in the field where it landed in the Lostock area of Bolton.

Aircraft “spinning out” before crash

Firefighters and an air ambulance were deployed to the scene this afternoon after the alarm was sounded at around 1.45pm.

Posting on social media after the crash, eyewitnesses have spoken of how the chopper was “spinning out” before it plummeted to the ground.

They also posted that they could see the aircraft quickly “falling from the sky”.
