Jesse Watters after birth of son: ‘Now I am pro-paternity’

Fox News host Jesse Watters this week proclaimed he now supports paid paternity leave following the birth of his third child this month.

“I think it’s safe to say I’m the only one on this show that’s been peed on twice today,” Watters said on Monday’s edition of “The Five.”

“Now I am pro-paternity. I used to mock people for taking paternity, I used to think it was a big ruse, but now, ya know, I wish I could take six weeks,” he said.

Watters took a brief hiatus from the show after the birth of his third child and first son, Jesse Jr., who was born on April 1.

Fox News offers six weeks of paternity leave to employees. “Fox & Friends” co-host Todd Piro announced last month he was taking six weeks of paternity leave from the show.

Watters announced on the show in October that his wife Emma was pregnant, with his co-hosts cutting into a cupcake as part of a gender reveal ceremony on the air.

“Blue means boy, Juan,” Watters joked at co-host Juan Williams exclaimed, “It’s a girl!” after the hosts cut into the cupcake with blue coloring on the inside.

“My father said just today you better get back on ‘The Five’ pretty soon. Your replacements have been pretty good,” Watters said. “I don’t know. Apparently, I have people nipping at my heels, I’ve gotta be back.”
