US radio host Billy Bush has unleashed fury on Meghan Markle after she attended Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit.

Meghan Markle has been skewered by radio host Billy Bush after she attended Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit earlier this week. She spoke on the panel surrounded by other women, but as clips of her talking started to spread online, US Radio host Billy Bush took to his show to weigh in. Sharing a clip to his feed, he wrote: “Please stop giving Meghan Markle awards as the most powerful woman.”

In the video he fumed: “You’re not a powerful woman!” as he continued: “You married a guy. Your poosh poosh is powerful maybe, you got the guy to leave his family, got him to leave the Royal Family. There’s power in there.” He said the awards she’s getting are “too much” and fumed at Fortune magazine for “fawning over her”.

He shared a clip of Meghan talking about teaching gift wrapping and doing odd jobs, she said she would also do calligraphy in between doing auditions.

Mocking her, Billy said: “I was just an actress auditioning and now I’m a major entrepreneur,” before fuming: “No you’re not an entrepreneur! The show is terrible. It’s cancelled. It’s not happening again, you’re not getting a second season, you did one long season and cut it in half.

“Please be authentic and I will be the first to embrace you and just be you! Not this version you’re forcing down people’s throats.”

He rounded off his rant by clarifying that he just wants authenticity, which she has been accused of not providing.

Viewers rushed to the comments to share their thoughts too, with one user wriiting: “Thank you!! This makes me bananas!”

Another said: “It’s difficult to listen to this woman!” While a third fumed she is a “sad joke”.

Meghan moved to the US to get away from UK life and has raised her two children with Harry overseas.

She’s often active online doing either activist work or sharing a version of inspiration quotes, with her most recent being a comment that read: “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you.

“It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ’em girl! Happy international day of the girl.”
