King Charles and Queen Camilla may have married in 2005, but their relationship still seems fresh, as seen in the small gestures they share. In November last year, during a reception for VJ veterans, the King was seen walking with purpose through the corridors of Windsor Castle before suddenly stopping and turning back to check on Camilla.

He paused and turned around to check whether Camilla had caught up with him. Once he made sure she was following, Charles walked ahead and greeted guests.

The classic couple moment from the pair won hearts on social media, as royal fans quipped that the King and Queen were just as normal and humble as anyone else. Recently, King Charles’ demand for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was also revealed.

A Royal fan gushed over the couple on X, writing that Charles and Camilla were “just like every day married couple,” and that the moment was “cute.”

Another person added, “He always makes sure she is there before leaving.” “A sweet moment yesterday during a reception at Windsor Castle as King Charles was waiting on Queen Camilla,” a third person chimed in.

During an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live with Emma Barnett in 2020, Camilla, 79, stated that Charles, 77, tends to leave everybody “miles behind” as he walks so fast. She said, “He’ll walk and walk and walk. He’s like a mountain goat, he leaves everybody miles behind.”

Emma asked, “So you’re the silver swan, and he’s the mountain goat?” Camilla agreed, “I’m the ancient silver swan, and he’s the mountain goat, yes!”

She also called her husband the “fittest man” she knows for his age. Earlier this year, Charles left joggers stunned when he showed up at the local parkrun to cheer on the runners finishing the 5km route.

King Charles III received a diagnosis of an undisclosed form of cancer in 2024. He successfully underwent treatment while continuing a packed schedule of official duties.

Royal photographer Chris Jackson spoke of the King’s work ethic in an interview on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend, stating, “Even keeping up with the King today is really hard work. He’s working left, right and centre with so many engagements.”

The King’s diagnosis emerged after a different concern was identified during a procedure to address a benign enlarged prostate. Importantly, officials have clarified that it is not prostate cancer. After, the King personally provided an update on his condition, describing himself as “not too bad.”
