New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is unhappy about what he thinks has gone down with the Los Angeles wildfires.
Rodgers on Thursday condemned the arsonists responsible for some of the wildfires that kicked off the deadly loss of property and people.
The veteran New York Jets quarterback, who was born in Chico, Northern California, spoke about the destructive fires that hit the county last week that left more than two dozen dead with thousands of structures burned to the ground in an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“The really disheartening thing aside from a loss of a home, because it is more just a house, it’s the arson,’ he said. ‘There is a ton of arson. There is a ton of arson in LA in general. It is one of those things people don’t like talking about in SoCal cos of all the money that goes to various initiatives.”
“I’m not even gonna mention it cos it is kind of a hot button, but there is a lot of arson, and people have been caught doing it. Caught walking around with blowtorches and different s–t. It is inhumane; it is sickening.”
Aaron Rodgers further added, “You have people legitimately starting fires in areas. The Runyon Canyon fire, that was arson, a fire was started. There was a fire that was started real close to my house, that was arson, [but] that thankfully got put away really quick.”
“So that’s the sh–ty part about all this. The beautiful part is how people have come together.”
In the meantime, Rodgers came off Achilles surgery, started every game, and passed for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
His 90.5 passer rating was his lowest over a full season.
Where Will Aaron Rodgers Be In 2025?
Will Aaron Rodgers return to the New York Jets in 2025? That question is going to dominate headlines until he makes a final decision on what he is going to do with his career.
Rodgers may have played his final game in the NFL, but he could return in 2025, too.
During the final week of the 2024 regular season, Rodgers said he’d take a break before deciding on his NFL future.
While on “The Pat McAfee Show” this week, Rodgers made it clear that he’s still enjoying his break while also pointing out that New York doesn’t even have a general manager or head coach right now.
Once a new regime is hired, Aaron Rodgers can discuss their plan for the 2025 season with them.
For now, Jets fans will have to be patient and wait.

Adrian Peterson is in some legal hot water, with authorities in Fort Bend County, Texas, issuing warrants in his name.
According to USA Today, the warrants are out as a result of the former NFL MVP failing to appear in court for two separate child support cases.
“The current legal case is related to a misunderstanding regarding Adrian’s court appearances as it relates to child support, and he is actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible,” Peterson’s publicist Denise White told the publication.
“He is committed to clearing up this situation and moving forward positively.”
