Anthony Edwards made a clear decision to show that he wants nothing to do with his former girlfriend and their child together.
Edwards initially made headlines after news broke that the NBA player requested a DNA test after Ayesha Howard gave birth to her daughter.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star is now agreeing to give Ayesha Howard full custody of their 5-month-old daughter, Aubri’, amid their contentious paternity battle.
This comes weeks after revealing he doesn’t even want visitation with the kid, per In Touch.
Ayesha stated in her filing the child had been in her sole custody, care, and control since birth. Anthony Edwards doesn’t appear to be fighting that with his latest movements.
Howard claimed in court docs that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and during his off-season,” before discovering in January 2024 that she was “pregnant with his child.”
She alleged the shooting guard was not pleased when she revealed the news to him and then blocked her from further communicating with him.
Anthony Edwards is now asking the court to “establish [his] child support obligations.”
In October 2024, Edwards filed a paternity suit, requesting a DNA test. In March 2025, Howard formally requested sole custody, citing a December 2024 DNA test that confirmed Edwards’ paternity.
She also asked for Edwards to be listed on Aubri’s birth certificate.

Last last month, a user on X took named @PrincessM___ posted a message about Edwards that said, Edwards “really told the judge he wanna pay the whole 18 years of child support upfront is absolutely insane he hates that girl omfg… like the WHOLE 18 years in 1 Payment?” and added that he wants it all to be “over with immediately…”
That rumor went insanely viral to the point where Ayesha Howard had to speak up.
“There are no court documents, motions, or proceedings that have occurred, nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms,” she said, per Brianne Deville of The Shade Room.
Howard also took to her Instagram Story to address the rumors, stating on there that they are “lies” and rumors.”
Anthony Edwards has been quiet about the situation.
VIDEO: Some Dude Just Dropped The Cold Hard Truth On Why All Of These NFL Prospects Are “Dating White Women”

Unless this is your first day in America, then you know race relations in this country dominate just everything, and that includes NBA and NFL drafts
During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.
The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.
This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.
One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.
He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.
He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
