Boise State Women’s Volleyball Team Forfeits Game vs. Rival Because Of Transgender Player

On Saturday, the women’s volleyball team for Boise State forfeited the game to San Jose State. This is a big deal because many speculate that the reason for the forfeit is that San Jose’s team features Blaire Fleming, who is transgender.
However, a recent statement from Boise State does not outright state the exact reason for the forfeit and is rather vague.
“‘Boise State volleyball will not play its scheduled match at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 28,” read the statement. “Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Boise State. The Broncos will next compete on Oct. 3 against Air Force.”
Much of the response to Boise State and the situation has been positive. Many, including Idaho Governor Brad Little, believe it was the right move.
“I applaud @BoiseState for working within the spirit of my Executive Order, the Defending Women’s Sports Act. We need to ensure player safety for all of our female athletes and continue the fight for fairness in women’s sports,” wrote Little.
Of course, transgender women in sports have become a huge topic, and it seems as though Fleming is now the latest story.
Blaire Fleming Is Currently A Senior
Despite the recent problem that is speculated to have been caused by Fleming, she is currently a redshirt senior at San Jose State, and this likely will be her last season.
She originally started her career at Coastal Carolina and then transferred to San Jose after her first year.
Fleming has played in 63 matches in her NCAA career, the most in one season in 2022-2023, when she appeared in 27.
Former NFL Quarterback Brett Favre Lashes Out At Taylor Swift, Accuses Her Of Using Her “Influence” For Foul Reasons

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.
He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.
“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.
“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
