I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Angry Ginge’s nickname has been explained by his close friends during an appearance on Lorraine.
The Twitch streamer and YouTuber has been taking on Ant and Dec’s brutal bushtucker trials alongside the likes of Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax and Martin Kemp.
After being announced as part of this year’s line-up, people have been wondering the real reason behind Angry Ginge’s nickname, including ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
On her show today, Tuesday 18 November, two of his close friends, Chazza and Heinz, explained where it came from.
“Why is he called Angry? Because he doesn’t come across as angry, he’s delightful?” Lorraine probed.

Chazza replied: “When he used to play Fifa, he used to rage at the game, so I think that’s one of the words he used to describe himself.”
He added: “It’s passion and dedication… he genuinly is one of the nicest guys.”
Heinz said: “I think that’ll surprise people in the jungle, because they’ll see his name.”
Angry Ginge’s real name is Morgan Burtwistle, and he is reportedly the third-highest-earning star on I’m A Celebrity this year, said to be pocketing a £100,000 fee.

Ahead of taking part in the show, the Soccer Aid star described it as “a bucke tlist item”.
“To take part in it this year is something I couldn’t pass up on,” he said.
He added: “The closest I’ve ever done to this is The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. And that didn’t go down well, so I haven’t got the best of confidence coming into this. And the most people I have ever lived with are my mum and sister.”
He admitted: “I’ve been away once for a week. And so, two to three weeks without it is going to be very educational to see how I will do.”
