Bryce James intends to follow in his father LeBron and elder brother Bronny’s footsteps and make it to the NBA. Bryce just finished his high school career in style by winning the CIF State Division 1 title with Sierra Canyon and is now headed to the University of Arizona.
Bronny has been a great influence on Bryce and is the perfect man to offer guidance to the 17-year-old, having been in those same shoes. Sowhat has the elder brother told the younger one over the years?
Well, Bronny shared how his advice for Bryce has evolved from when they were younger to today.
“When we were younger, the main thing I’d like to push to him [was] just having fun, playing your game, being confident in yourself,” Bronny said, via Dave McMenamin. “But yeah, I think as I became a senior, he’s a senior now, to just have that mindset of working because there’s a lot of kids out there that want to be in my spot or his spot and you can’t take that for granted. So yeah, just keep working.”
Bronny doesn’t want Bryce to start slacking at any point. He knows there are plenty of people who are working their socks off to be in the same position as them, so they can’t afford to take it easy.
Bronny certainly has been listening to his own advice, as he has been hard at work. That is evidenced by just how much he has improved from his early days with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bronny looked out of place during the Summer League and preseason but is much more comfortable out on the court now. The 20-year-old had 17 points, three rebounds, five assists and one block against the Milwaukee Bucks at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday and is starting to show the work he has put in behind the scenes.
