Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis is likely to be the favorite to take over the team after the departure of Shedeur Sanders.
As Colorado navigates the post-Shedeur Sanders era, it appears they have a guy who can excel not only on the field but also in the classroom.
The Georgia product, who threw for nearly 11,000 yards with 144 touchdowns in his three high school seasons, maintained an impressive GPA of 3.75 while graduating in 2.5 years.
“Yesterday 1st team meeting and today 1st day of classes,” wrote Lewis. “But the thing that doesn’t get talked about is that in spite of all the noise, recruiting, NIL noise, and accolades is that @JulianLewis10 finished HS in 2.5 years with over a 3.75 GPA #TrustGod #KeepWorking.”
Julian Lewis boasts an extraordinary high school career that has drawn comparisons to elite college players.
Over three seasons, he accumulated a staggering 10,677 passing yards and 142 touchdowns.
In his freshman year, Lewis racked up 4,118 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. The following year, he tallied 3,094 passing yards, 48 touchdowns, and just two interceptions.
Julian Lewis Is The No. 2 Recruit In His Class
Five-star quarterback Julian Lewis was originally committed to USC in August 2023 but de-committed from Lincoln Riley’s class and took his talents to Colorado.
The 2025 ESPN 300’s No. 2 recruit had been on an unofficial visit to Georgia and showed interest in Indiana.
Sanders is starting to become a legend in flipping recruits as he pulled off another recruiting coup when he flipped five-star cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter from Florida State in the class of 2022 and did it again the next cycle, getting cornerback Cormani McClain from Miami.
Originally the top recruit in the class of 2026, Lewis reclassified to the 2025 class in January.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound QB won’t be handed the job as he will have to fight for the right to replace Shedeur.

Adrian Peterson is in some legal hot water, with authorities in Fort Bend County, Texas, issuing warrants in his name.
According to USA Today, the warrants are out as a result of the former NFL MVP failing to appear in court for two separate child support cases.
“The current legal case is related to a misunderstanding regarding Adrian’s court appearances as it relates to child support, and he is actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible,” Peterson’s publicist Denise White told the publication.
“He is committed to clearing up this situation and moving forward positively.”
