However, during the game, Curry’s father Dell was spotted in the crowd with his rumored new girlfriend, Nicki Smith, as he and Curry’s mother Sonya continue divorce proceedings.
After the game, Sonya Curry was shown giving her son a hug. Those paying close attention noticed that she was also accompanied by her new man, who just so happens to be a former New England Patriots player, tight end Steven Johnson.
Dell Curry girlfriend and Sonia’s new man were all over NBA twitter.
Social media wasted no time finding out some information and it appears that Steven Johnson and Dell’s new girlfriend used to be married to each other.
Why Did Dell Curry and Sonya Curry Divorce?
Dell Curry married his childhood sweetheart Sonya Adams back in 1988 and they share three children, Stephen Curry, Seth Curry, and Sybel Curry.
Last year, they announced they were divorcing after 33 years of mariage. Both Sonya and Dell accused each other of cheating during their marriage, with Sonya claiming that Dell engaged in “illicit sexual misconduct,” and that his affairs were well known to the family.
