On Monday, President-elect Donald Trump met with Washington DC mayor Muriel Bowser and one of the many topics the two discussed was reportedly Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Trump, who has been involved in different professional sports leagues as a businessman and an avid fan, sounds like he is officially on the Jayden Daniels bandwagon.
During their Monday meeting, Bowser said that Trump is “well aware” of who Daniels is and understands why he should be Rookie of the Year and an MVP candidate.

Jayden Daniels was selected second overall by the Washington Commanders in last year’s NFL draft and has quickly become a star quarterback. Just today, Daniels was announced as one of three quarterbacks from the NFC who was named a Pro Bowler.
Daniels has proven to be one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. He has completed 69.4 percent of his passes while throwing for 3,530 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The quarterback has rushed for 864 yards and six touchdowns while averaging six yards per carry.
More importantly, Jayden Daniels has helped turn around the Washington Commanders franchise in just one season. Last year, the Commanders finished dead last in the NFC East division with a 4-13 record. With the help of Daniels, coach Dan Quinn, and others, the Commanders are 11-5, have clinched a wildcard berth and are in second place in the NFC East division.
The Washington Commanders quarterback has shown flashes of being one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL multiple times this season. Against the Cincinnati Bengals this season, he set the rookie record for the highest completion percentage in a single game (91.3 percent).
Daniels also had an iconic game-winning Hail Mary touchdown pass to Noah Brown against the Chicago Bears and then most recently had a game-winning touchdown pass on the last drive against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Jayden Daniels is a huge favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year (-20000). Daniels has quickly emerged as a top quarterback in the NFL and we will see if he can add to his historic rookie season in the postseason.
