ESPN were forced to quickly cut away from two scantily-clad female fans on Saturday afternoon, after inadvertently catching them taking sultry selfies in the bleachers.
The ESPN+ college baseball live stream of Coastal Carolina @ East Carolina took a bizarre turn in the top of the third inning, when the camera cut to two students who appeared to have no real interest in what was happening on the field.
The two women – one blonde, wearing sunglasses and a low-cut top, and the other brunette in a baseball cap – appeared to be taking selfies on their phones.
The announcer was then left stunned when one of the fans appeared to take a photo of her behind, before both women then inspected the result on her phone.
‘Obviously her glasses are not reading glasses,’ was the only response from the commentator, before the camera quickly cut back to the action.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, social media was ablaze with comments and the video quickly racked up over three million views in less than two hours.

‘Give that camera man a raise,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘ESPN has found a way to boost ratings.’
Others desperately tried to search for the fan’s social media account, while some noticed a very young fan in the corner of the screen fixated not on the game, but on the selfie-taking of the females.
The initial post on X read: ‘NO WAY SHE JUST GOT CAUGHT TAKING AN A** PIC ON TV,’ before being followed up with the clip and the caption: ‘The greatest moment in ESPN Plus history.’
Seconds after the X-rated moment, the broadcast returned to more family-friendly content, capturing a mother and her young daughter chatting in the stands.
In the game itself, Coastal Carolina ran out comfortable 9-1 victors over their ECU rivals.
