Former ESPN correspondent Britt McHenry is back in the limelight, but not for her sports takes or sideline reports. This time, she’s turning heads with a stunning bathroom mirror selfie that’s got her Instagram followers buzzing.

McHenry, now a familiar face on FOX 5 in Washington, D.C., maintains a strong social media presence. This week, she turned heads with a playful yet confident post, captioned, “Bandz a make her dance. #Caps stuck in my head. See you tomorrow #ovi #sports.”

The post comes amid McHenry’s ongoing self-empowerment journey. In October 2024, she opened up about her battle with “scanxiety” following her 2020 brain tumor surgery. “Turned the 6 month dreaded MRI checkup into a moment of self empowerment,” she wrote. “To anyone else who’s survived or currently fighting cancer, I know how bad scanxiety is. Thoughts with you. I’m in it too!”

McHenry’s recent Instagram photo quickly sparked reactions from fans, many praising her for both her appearance and strength.

One follower commented, “Love it! I recently experienced my first sound bath and am now on a self care journey. Would love your support!!”

Others kept it short and emphatic: “Smoke show!” and “Holy smokes. GORGEOUS!”

Another added, “great eyes ,” while one more simply wrote, “Wow Britt.”

Though McHenry’s ESPN tenure ended in 2017 during a round of company layoffs, she’s remained in the public eye. Her stint at the sports network wasn’t without controversy. A 2015 viral video showed her berating a tow truck employee, a moment she revisited in a 2024 interview with Awful Announcing.

“(The video) was highly edited, it was highly doctored… there’s a reason that tow truck company never gave up the full video,” McHenry said. “Had I known the alleged reports they were trying to sell (the video), I would have easily cut them a check for $20-$30K… just to not deal with the b——t from it.”

Despite past bumps, McHenry seems to be turning the page, focusing on personal health, media work, and a growing digital audience.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
