The Los Angeles Lakers made headlines in the basketball world by securing Luka Doncic in a remarkable trade with the Dallas Mavericks on February 2. In return, the Lakers sent Anthony Davis to Dallas. This move not only sparked considerable excitement among players and fans alike but also drew attention to potential concerns regarding Doncic’s health status.

Doncic sustained a calf strain during the Christmas Day game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since then, he has been sidelined and has not yet made his debut with the Lakers. Following Doncic’s trade, questions arose about his physical condition. However, in a recent episode of the “Run It Back” podcast on FDTV, former Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons refuted the narrative that Doncic is out of shape by sharing an unexpected fact.

“I didn’t understand the Luka ‘out of shape narrative’ because he plays more than Anthony Davis,” Parsons said.

Parsons noted that there have been more concerns about Davis’ health than about Doncic’s. He pointed out that Doncic plays more frequently than Davis and is six years younger. Therefore, Parsons stated that the narratives suggesting Doncic is out of shape never made sense to him.

Doncic trade to the Lakers left analysts and fans in disbelief, as many anticipated that he would spend his entire career with the Mavericks. Doncic is undoubtedly one of the premier players in the league at this time. Nevertheless, Dallas opted to trade him for Davis, a decision that sparked numerous questions among the fanbase. However, Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont provided clarity regarding this decision in an interview with Brad Townsend from the Dallas Morning News.

“If you look at the greats in the league, the people you and I grew up with — [Michael] Jordan, [Larry] Bird, Kobe [Bryant], Shaq[uille O’Neal] — they worked really hard every day, with a singular focus to win. And if you don’t have that, it doesn’t work. And if you don’t have that, you shouldn’t be part of the Dallas Mavericks.” Dumont said.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
