Many fans felt there was a lack of respect

Few players in the history of women’s college basketball have captivated fans quite like Caitlin Clark. With her electrifying shooting ability, unmatched court vision, and record-breaking performances, she has redefined the game and drawn an unprecedented level of attention to the sport. Whether it’s her deep three-pointers, clutch performances, or fiery competitiveness, Clark has built a loyal following that passionately supports her every move.
Throughout her college career at Iowa, Clark consistently proved herself as one of the most dominant players of all time. She shattered records, outscored legends, and carried her team to new heights, all while handling immense pressure and media scrutiny. Even without a national championship to her name, her impact on the game is undeniable, making her a cultural phenomenon beyond just basketball circles.
As the NCAA Tournament gets underway, the debate over Clark’s place in history has reached new levels. Analysts, fans, and former players all have their opinions on where she ranks among the all-time greats. However, a recent list compiled by Fox Sports has sparked outrage among her supporters, as many believe she was unfairly ranked below another women’s basketball legend.

Fox Sports is currently enduring the wrath of Caitlin Clark‘s immense fanbase after not putting her high enough in a list.
With the NCAA Tournament now getting underway, Fox Sports released a self-compiled list of the greatest ten all-time women’s college basketball players.
They decided to put former UConn Huskies and current New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart ahead of Clark, with the Indiana Fever player only getting the second spot.
Clark never actually won the NCAA Tournament, but many viewed this merely as a quirk of the system given she was so clearly better than all of the players around her.
She did manage to be a runner-up and became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history with 3,951 points, passing LSU legend “Pistol” Pete Maravich.
For that reason, many assumed that she would always be ranked as the best player that college basketball had ever seen, but Fox Sports don’t think so.
Other current WNBA players on the list include Atlanta Dream‘s Brittney Griner (7th) and Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson (9th).
Stewart did win four straight national championships and four straight NCAA tournament MOPs, so it is not like she has scammed her way to the top of the list.
Fans have their say
Despite that, fans of Clark think she deserves to be at the top.
“By what measure is Breanna Stewart better than Caitlin Clark?” one fan asked.
“I think yall are purposely trying to get clark hate. Its corny,” added another.
“Caitlin is easily #1. Any other arguments are pure cope,” said a third.
Some fans think Clark is too high on the list given she never won the championship.
“being 2 and walking out of college with no rings is insane yall are so unserious,” wrote one user.
“never won a title and 2? I don’t think so,” posted another.
“Someone that never won a championship at 2 on a post during the NCAA tournament…” commented a third.
