‘Hawk Tuah’ girl Haliey Welch made headlines earlier this week when she teased that her mystery boyfriend was none other than Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold.
In a teaser for the next episode of her podcast, Welch announced that she would reveal her boyfriend, whom she refers to as “Pookie.” Sam Darnold’s image was shown in the post, leading to speculation that the veteran NFL QB was the mystery man all along:
But in the new episode of her podcast that dropped today, Welch revealed the identity of her boyfriend. To mock a line from the legendary Maury Povich….Sam Darnold is NOT the pookie.

It turns out that the boyfriend is not a celebrity. He’s a gentleman named Kelby, who admitted to trying to stay away from the spotlight because he enjoys his small-town lifestyle.
Well, at least the Sam Darnold teaser probably helped the viewership for this episode.
Sam Darnold Is Having A Career Year For Vikings
The former 2018 first-round pick has been a feel-good story for the Vikings this season. Sam Darnold is completing 68.6 percent of pass attempts for 2,141 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Minnesota has a 7-2 record, tied for the second-best record in the NFC with the Philadelphia Eagles. Barring a late-season collapse, they’ll be back in the postseason for the second time in three years.
